Guajillo is my go-to spot for awesome Mexican food! Seriously, I can’t believe I haven’t written about it sooner. Been here 7+ times and, it’s like a party! The salsa is always fresh, and they never disappoint with their tasty dishes. My kids are obsessed with the cheese quesadillas, and I can’t get enough of the sombrero salad. And guess what? The shrimp camarones Al ajillo? Pure yum! And do try the El Pepino! If you want to get some seriously good Mexican grub, Guajillo is the place to be. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

This place is a hidden gem for Mexican food, starting from the drinks, appetizers, mains to desserts, I have never been disappointed so far. Everytime I went there, the food quality and freshness has been amazing.I recently went to Texas, had Tex-Mex food, I still find this restaurant to be better. I am a loyal customer to them.

It was the most authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine that I could get in Arlington. If you are tired of Guapos vibe, come here. Drinks are amazing. I got spicy margaritas and they make their mix their own.

If you're are looking for an authentic, family owned, hole in the wall Mexican restaurant, this is your place! My friend and I visited on a Friday night, and to be expected, the restaurant was busy; however, we still received timely service. We did sit at the bar due to no outdoor seating, but honestly the inside seating was better due to do the decor and music; you get the full cultural experience. Last but certainly not least, the food *chef kiss* This has been the best Mexican food I've had while living in DMV area, I'm pretty picky and Guajillo did not disappoint!! Check them out if you're in the area.

So good! Wish I discovered this place sooner. I’ve lived in the area for a few years and this is the best Mexican I’ve had. The service and atmosphere are top notch too!

Food was delicious and really authentic, I had the taconazo (5 tacos) and loved that I could try it all. The servers were really fun and very attentive, refilling chips and drinks regularly. Would definitely recommend!

Delicious! Wish I discovered this place sooner. We ordered the combo fajita and shared between two people (yes it’s large. The shrimps are huge). Flavor is amazing, all the ingredients are fresh and seared perfectly. Their salsa also tastes amazing and homemade.Definitely adding this place to our restaurant rotation.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the DMV area. Not only is the food amazing but the staff are so nice and they all work well together to make sure you have the best dining experience. Although we don’t go as often as we would like, they always remember us and we really appreciate their warmth and kindness as well as their delicious food! Recommend specifically their fajitas and their poblanos enchiladas!!

When we stepped into Guajillo last night, we felt as though we'd returned to Mexico. We suffered through the uncomfortable seats and enjoyed the warm salsa and chips. The waiter was pleasant. We are not sure there are any Mexicans at the restaurant anymore. We ordered the Enchiladas Poblano, and when we asked if the chicken enchiladas had cheese, we were told that we would be served a combination. When the enchiladas came, they were hidden by a mountain of lettuce--reminiscent of Chi-Chi's--and it was difficult to find the enchiladas. They had very little mole, which was entirely too sweet. There was no cheese at all. They were very dry, so I asked for some hot sauce to both moisten them and to make them less sweet. We forced them down.We also ordered the Ensalada de Jo, primarily because I had been making salads with beets and I had run out of beets. "Mixed greens" was just a mountain of shredded lettuce and try as we might, we couldn't find the beets. We paid extra for the shrimp, and they were good, but we finally asked the waiter where the beets were, since we couldn't find them. He said they would give us flan on churros to make up for the beets. Hardly healthful.I asked if the churros were served with chocolate, and was told that yes, they would be. They were very hard and there was some light brown sauce on them and some red sauce on the plate. I ate one and it wasn't very good. I asked the waiter about the chocolate and he said there wasn't any! Why did he say there was? I didn't eat any more: There were six small, hard churros with unidentifiable sauce. My husband forced down three and he couldn't sleep all night because of indigestion from the food. Two stars are for the salsa, shrimp, and the pleasantness of the waiter, even though he was dishonest. Kind of a high rating. What a terrible waste of money and disappointment. We know Mexican food, and that is not what we experienced..

We came here for dinner on a weekday evening and had a good experience. The meal started out with complimentary chips and salsa, and we also ordered some guacamole on the side. The guacamole was good, but the small cup was a bit expensive at $8. I got chicken fajitas, which came with onions, peppers, and zucchini, and sides of guacamole, rice, refried beans, and tortillas. I liked this, and it was a very generous portion size. I also tried my husband's mole poblano, which was good, and my kid really liked the kids' quesadilla they made him. Service was very friendly. Overall, a solid meal at a nice neighborhood spot, and we'd come back if in the area.

Great dinner find within walking distance of hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed the food--which was accompanied by great service from our server Lucy and rye whole staff. We liked the warmed salsa; guacamole was tasty and not bland (so many are); excellent tequila selection and good variety of draft beers. We plan to return tomorrow after Lucy told us about seasonal special entree and margaritas.
