Terrible service, food below par, pre-packaged. Will not return. Angel waited on us, obviously no training, charged different items for drinks each time. Brought this to managers attention and manager just added more to drinks. Manager didn’t ask how anything was just went about playing on her phone.
Danny and his Son and their staff do work hard at ensuring a great experience. love the new bar! very relaxing. perfect marina venue!
Two of the three of us had a problem because of either a wrong order or incorrectly prepared order. Instead of returning with a corrected version of our issue (wrong side order and overcooked steak), they took our entire plate, leaving us with nothing to eat while they fixed the issue. Server, who was very sweet, appeared to be avoiding us by then, so our drinks went unfilled. It was very disappointing. Sitting outdoors near the water is so relaxing. I wish they could find a way to reduce the flies though.

Our service was wonderful, with the sweetest waitress who was diligent in making sure we had everything to enjoy our meals. We arrived around 7:50 pm, yet the staff was still happy to serve us. We enjoyed the BEST wings (Old Bay & BBQ), the best calamari that also had fried peppers which was different and amazing! The seafood platter was fresh and yummy and the crab cakes with vegetable medley was to die for. Saving this cool spot for our last night of vacation will forever be memorable, but now that we know...we would've enjoyed these meals more than once during the week! Bonus...there's an art gallery, how cool?! definitely a must!!
Delicious food with a nice view of the river. Sat outside in the shade. Service was quick and attentive. Enjoyed the brunch Seafood burrito that was loaded with shrimp and crab meat. Fish and Chips were also very good.

Was there Sunday 8/3 had a 6pm reservation. Received water when we sat down waited 20 minutes to place drink at app and dinner order. Received drinks 30 minutes later. App 20 minutes later. 30 min., later still no word on main meal. Left at 8:00pm. To make matters worse we have been there before and all was good. This time we had out of town guests and we had singing their praises. Only explanation, “we’re short staffed”. No sorry. 2 hours really?

I hate to rain on a restaurant with a bad review. It’s a tough business. But seeing the five star reviews for Horn Harbor Restaurant forced my hand because maybe it indicates that the restaurant can and should do better and a bad review has value. In this case, from stem to stern, it was a zero star experience. We waited 20 minutes to be seated. Parking lot was full, so I get it, but no “we’ll be right with you” or apology from what appeared to be a manager. We waited an hour and a half for our entree. No apology from our waitress, despite me saying “I’m sure you’re having a bad night, but can you check on our entree?” It’s a Sunday, tough day to expect full staff, and the servers aren’t always responsible for subpar service, but…. And orders came out randomly with recent diners receiving plates well before my hungry trio. Finally, the food was not five stars. Rock fish special was over cooked and rubbery, salmon was overdone and order came with tomatoes on salad when none requested, and shrimp fettuccini was just ok, not much bite. Hate to compare, but we dined the night before at Adrift in White Stone. That’s five stars. I’m always willing to give a restaurant a pass for a bad night. But this felt like a systems failure on all fronts at a restaurant that maybe should shut a room or two to address the labor shortage, tighten training and culture, get in the kitchen and quality assure the product, and right the ship.

Worst dinner ever!!! Service was terrible!! We never got our entrees. We finally walked out after nearly two hours of being mostly ignored. I offered to pay for our bottle of wine, glass of wine and serving of a disappointing calamari appetizer, but the guy at checkout apologized for the badand said we could just leave. So we did.

Breathtaking water views, amazing food and atmosphere!
My mom and I came here for dinner with my son and i ordered the children’s chicken tenders for my 2 year old. i cut into them and the chicken was extremely raw. I thankfully noticed before i gave it to him, i showed the waitress and she said it was definitely raw and took it back and brought him a different meal. i asked her to take it off of our bill because raw chicken isn’t anything to mess around with and especially knowing it was for a child since it was on the KIDS menu. i was extremely upset and will not be returning. just making this aware so if any other mamas order the chicken for their babies, CHECK IT!!!
Another one of my favorites in Northern Neck. It’s a very unassuming place in a beautiful location on the water. Food is consistently excellent — the fish and chips are my favorite — and the wait staff is personable and attentive. It’s a bit out of the way but worth it! A+

The views are great but the food is mediocre and they need to work on service. Very long wait times when busy (kitchen and service seem severely understaffed).
