Just plain ol' spaghetti and meatballs and it was great. And Zeppoli just like the feast. But no decaf coffee. C'mon. Get with the program.

Great restaurant! I ordered the pasta special, Squid Ink Tagliatelle with Crab and Herbs, while the rest of my party ordered pizza. All the pizzas came out but there was a problem and my pasta came out much later. But it was okay, since it was well worth the wait. The server was super apologetic and even gave us a discount for the wait. The pasta was absolutely delicious. She gave me a heads up that it may be fishy, but I didn't find the pasta too fishy (I love fish!) The crab was fresh and the dish was very cheesy and garlicky. It was a bit echoey in the room, but I would definitely return when I go back to Cape Charles.

Bumped to four stars. The crust has improved somehow. Lots of crunch and chewiness on our recent visit. Service is excellent. Toppings could still be better but overall I am happy to get pizza here. Not perfect but I will be back.

Deadrise Pies is more than just a pizza joint. They offer gourmet quality dining in the tiny beach town of Cape Charles, VA. If you'd like a nice night out you won't go wrong by choosing Deadrise!Dietary restrictions: My wife is gluten-sensitive, and they were able to recommend appropriate selections for her.

After two incredible meals while visiting Cape Charles at Ambrogia and Hook @ Harvey, we had high expectations for our dining experiences in town. And this did not disappoint. We ordered half Valhalla and half gondola along with the rigatoni. Both were so tasty and flavorful! We also ordered a bottle of Chianti and ended the night with delicious cannolis. All top notch.

New owner? Talented chef and motivated staff. Owner is all in, helps servers and makes you feel welcome. Food is flawless and you can watch him make it. Music is upbeat and listenable, lipsynch-able. A nice evening for travelers. Walkable from Cape Charles Hotel.

Cute place in the historic section of Cape Charles. This is one of those little towns that make me love the Eastern Shore. We were camping nearby and we're in the mood for pizza, and a friend who lives up here recommended the DeadRise. As it is the off-season, we were seated right away. I'm sure the place is packed in the summer. We started with drinks and I had the mochatini totally yummy, but not really worth the $14. Based on prior reviews, we started with the breadsticks. They were really tasty, especially the seasoning. When asked if they had a small side salad, we were told they do not, but there salads are large enough for 2 people. We decided to split a Caesar. It was definitely good, we'll dressed, but certainly not big enough for 2 adults. Where they really shined was the pizza. They make their dough in house and it shows. I'm guessing the sauce is homemade as well. It was perfect - not too acidic, not too sweet. We ordered extra cheese and half Italian sausage. Toppings were all generous and it was cooked well. The star of the show though is that crust, thin, crunchy and it has a great taste. Fast, friendly and attentive service means we will be making more stops here in the future.

Very disappointing. Waitress was great, drinks good, pizza was outstanding. So what went wrong? Ran out of “ink” pasta so seafood dish was served on cold, slimy, thick white noodles. Yuck. Not one bite of meat in the other pasta which was served with undercooked tube noodles. Not at all what has been served to us in the past! Awful. We’ve been customers for a long time. These meals were unacceptable. Do better!
