I want to like this family run place. However, I just ordered 2 items which from the chalkboard should have been under $4 each. The receipt came to $15.44. The owner told me the receipt had been emailed. When I got the email, all it says is "Custom Amount x 1 $15.44" This does not give me confidence in the place as a whole.

Perhaps it's me, but when I saw the sign out front that said it was a Mexican bakery, I expected more than a few muffins and bagels for sale. Even those didn't seem to be made in house. One could get the same at any service station. Person behind the counter was pleasant, but it was strictly underwhelming.

It's been good the rare few times I've been there, although some of the menu items really need descriptions. But usually when I try to go, they appear to be closed, despite it being in the listed hours. So these days I just save myself the disappointment and go straight for Tacos Gomez or Mi Casita. What a shame.

This place is amazing. Authentic and fresh-made-to-order Mexican food. I ordered a huarache with al pastor meat and my coworker ordered 3 gorditas. So. Good. Will be coming here regularly. They also gave us a nice little veggie soup while we waited. It's kind of hidden and there isn't really a menu but do not let that deter you.

The BEST and ONLY Hispanic Bakery in Charlottesville A true hole in the wall. If you are lucky enough to spot this hidden, Latinx café, then you are in for a real treat. To my knowledge, this is the ONLY Hispanic bakery in all of Charlottesville. On top of that, their soup and gorditas were savory, made to order, and, simply put, delicious. Just look at how fresh that gordita looks! And if looks deceive, tastes CANNOT lie. Do NOT miss out on this local, family-run business. I will be returning here shortly to discover more.

I have been wanting to try this place for a good while but every time I stopped it was closed. I finally found it open and went inside to get some lunch. The menu that was posted is very sparse and some of the items didn't have a price on the menu board which wasn't to good but I saw a item that I have eaten many times ele where , "Huevos Rancheros" at a little over 8 dollars for the dish. I ordered up the Huevos Rancheros with the eggs cooked Medium. After a while I got my food brought to me but the eggs were cooked hard and hardly spicy at all. I was the only one in the place but my drink was never refilled. I was truly disappointed and won't go their again but it's OK cause its right next door to " Doodles Diner" which has really Great Food and thier Breakfast is Fantastic.

Great food! Mexican street food, sandwiches, enchiladas, and more. Delicious soup while you wait. The only problem I have is I don't know what all the things on the list are and there's no menu or pictures. But everything I've tried has been delicious.
