The facility speaks of elegance, and the menu covers most tastes. Food is well prepared and presented. The food temperature was very good except for broccoli - it was cold. The waiter could have been more attentive - eventually, another waiter came and cleared our table. This is a great restaurant. It just needs a few tweets to make it top shelf.

It's been a while since we enjoyed a meal at Hamilton', but this one may have been the best! The table by the window was perfect, the new salmon entree was excellent, and the dessert was special with a "Happy Anniversary" chocolate message. Our young waitress was attentive and absolutely a pleasure. Her level of service was perfect. Bottom line, Hamiltons is still on the downtown mall because they are clearly one of the best. Highly recommend.

Potato leek soup and crab cake were outstanding. Great to have blue plate vegetarian option but a bit bland today. Still serves great bread side. Server was pleasant and went out of her way to insure we had everything we wanted or needed.

We went for brunch before an afternoon show at the Paramount theater. The food was amazing from the appetizer though dessert! Our waiter was fabulous as well, very attentive but not overbearing-giving us space to chat. I would highly recommend this restarurant!

We (party of four) had a great brunch at Hamilton's. We started with cocktails. The guys had Bloody Marys (a meal in themselves). The ladies had the Albemarle Fizz - this drink is lovely, light and refreshing. The brunch fare is always a good selection - we enjoyed biscuits with poached eggs and gravy, crab cakes, and shrimp and grits. All were great! We're so glad Hamilton's is open for brunch again. The staff are all helpful and attentive. Great experience all the way around. Thanks!

We had dinner at Hamilton's this evening and we had a wonderful time. It is a lovely atmosphere, the service was great, and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back next time we are in town.
Hamilton's really sets themselves apart by showcasing the wonderful local food of the Commonwealth. Ham biscuits, crab chowder, crab cake sandwich, peanut vinaigrette are all glorious reminders of where you're dining. Enjoy!

We had brunch here on a Sunday. The ambience is mellow. The service is attentive. We had the fried oyster salad, garden omelet and poached eggs. Everything was fresh and tasty. The coffee was excellent. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food. We parked in a paying lot but it turns out there was plenty of street parking. We would eat here again.

Excellent food as always! It gets very loud as it gets later, so if you are sound sensitive, go for lunch instead, or a very early dinner. They have great vegetarian options and are willing to make them vegan!
Generally good food. But not a great experience. Lamb came to table cold and had to be reheated. Server wasn't very knowledgeable and seemed overwhelmed. I've been here many times so maybe just a bad day?

What a wonderful experience. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent. Everyone's meal was done to perfection and delicious. We all had a wonderful time and we look forward to coming back again very soon. I highly recommend this wonderful wonderful spot.

Ordered a pork chop and it came with green beans. Pork chop was wonderful, tasty, and well seasoned. Green beans however were just this side of raw and I left all but the single one I tried. We're regulars, eating perhaps here 4 times a year, and this was an anomaly for our past visits.

We were in Charlottesville for one night which happened to be Valentine's Day. That meant a fixed price menu, which was great but more food than we could eat. Everything was wonderful. A lovely meal, great service.
