I remember long ago when Monsoon was a dirty restaurant where the glasses were not clean and neither were the servers.. I heard from friends that Monsoon Siam was far better and bore no resemblance to its predecessor. It was kind of meh. As Thai food goes, the dishes were bland and flavorless. We love Monsoon Siam so imagine our surprise when we found out that this little place is closer to us vs. Monsoon Siam! I think the portions are about the same as its' sister restaurant. For some reason, I feel like the taste is always just a bit off. Our favorite dish at Monsoon is Andaman noodles - it's just so basil-y and fragrant. The food here is consistently good, if a bit on the small side (especially compared to their sister restaurant Monsoon Siam). We've had takeout from here both before and during COVID times. The wait time can be a bit much, but you can't fault them for being busy. We really enjoy their staple dishes: drunken noodles, pad see ew, and pad thai!
