Food is great, but if you order through the Monsoon to go go they will direct you to “Eat Street.” This group took my order, confirmed it, charged my card, and I showed up for pickup to a closed restaurant. They offered me a $3 coupon to make up for the hassle. Be careful how you order. Food is great through.

I remember long ago when Monsoon was a dirty restaurant where the glasses were not clean and neither were the servers.. I heard from friends that Monsoon Siam was far better and bore no resemblance to its predecessor. It was kind of meh. As Thai food goes, the dishes were bland and flavorless. The duck curry was watery and lacked much heat or even the wonderful spices associated with Thai. Ditto for the green curry chicken. The only dish that we found moderately flavorful was the air dried beef with Sriracha. Charlottesville has enough good Thai food that we will not order here again.

The order was not ready, after calling and being assured it would be just a couple of minutes which quickly became 20. At which point they said they never got the order. Almost 1 hour later, still no food

Whoever is cooking at Monsoon to go right now is killing it. We had perfect papaya salad, pad Thai, and the very fun tofu bomb! High suggest.

We love Monsoon Siam so imagine our surprise when we found out that this little place is closer to us vs. Monsoon Siam! I think the portions are about the same as its' sister restaurant. For some reason, I feel like the taste is always just a bit off. Our favorite dish at Monsoon is Andaman noodles - it's just so basil-y and fragrant. For some reason, when we order it from to go go, it just misses a beat. Sometimes I feel like we have to increase the spice factor for classic dishes for it to actually have taste. Love some of the appetizers here though like shrimp tempura. Service is super fast and friendly. It is amazingly convenient! Just wish it was more consistent with taste and flavor like Monsoon Siam is. Still willing to come back and give it another go though!

The food here is consistently good, if a bit on the small side (especially compared to their sister restaurant Monsoon Siam). We've had takeout from here both before and during COVID times. The wait time can be a bit much, but you can't fault them for being busy. We really enjoy their staple dishes: drunken noodles, pad see ew, and pad thai!

Sat outside. Delicious curry and great service. Will be going there again next time I'm in Charlottesville

We love Monsoon but have noticed the tofu balls are no longer on either menu--we were about to place an order and are so bummed. Please bring them back!

Ordered 2 lunch specials (ginger beef and curry chicken) One came out really good and the other container was only half full. The spring rolls were overcooked :/

Lovely atmosphere, fresh ingredients. I definitely recommend the Drunken Noodles.

Hidden at the back door of a foodie minimall with minimal exposure, Definately worth looking for. Nothing is prepared ahead of time so be ready to wait at least 10-15 minutes. Close to genuine Thai food prepararion of a minimal but excelent menu. Tables are available in the adjacent shared eating area (it's not really a food court, just best use of a small retail space. All dishes we tried were tasty and servings were substantial. We ordered two entrees and 1 serving of spring rolls, ate there and two carry out meals at home from the single order. We will be back.
