Placed a lunch order for work. We sent someone to pick it up and 30 minutes later I got an email that the order was cancelled. I called and was told all orders were cancelled because they had a big catering order. We had someone standing in the store waiting for the order and no one told him what was going on. POOR customer service and I will never order from Potbelly again.

The food was pretty decent but the customer service was trash. My husband ordered a combo and the “manager?” Told him the drink machine was down. He told her no big deal..could he order a milkshake as an upgrade. She would not understand what he was asking to do. Then as I returned to the lobby to clean a drink I had spilled, I overheard her calling him stupid because she couldn’t understand his question.

Stopped here for lunch while visiting C'ville. I had never been to a Potbelly sandwich shop. Thought I would give it a go.The parking is non existent. I parked a block away which is probably why there was only one customer ahead of me I guess. I walked up to the register, a woman turned to me and did not greet me she just asked "Ordering or Picking Up?" I said I was ordering, she pointed to the opposite end. When I went to the ordering side I told the lady making the sandwiches I had never been here before. She didn't seem to care, she quietly waited for me to review the poorly placed menu and I ordered their version of the Italian. To make this story short that was messiest, nastiest sandwich. It was absolutely loaded with hot spicy pepper salad, it was soaked in other condiments. It was inedible. I initially thought they left out some of the meats because for what I paid the sandwich was very flat very small. I called and the rude lady I encountered when I first got there took my name and phone# and said a manager would call me back to issue the refund. Never heard a word. When I went to throw the sandwich away, I saw the sandwich did have other meats it just had very little meat and the sand was overly toasted and it was all melted into oneglob of cheese. Please don't waste your money here. The poor service, the parking, low quality product coupled with the price is not worth it.Go to Wegmans instead. Their subs blow this joint out of water.

We were a party of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). While driving through town and shopping at a few local, favorite places we decided on Potbelly. We do not have a Potbelly near our home hours away.We knew the 2 children would enjoy the toasty "Mama's Meatball" sandwich and the delicious cookies! Adults enjoyed the toasty Italian and the addition of the hot peppers with the salami, mortadella, capicola, and pepperoni was packed with flavor and heat. We were greeted and helped by Christina and Paulette and they were beyond kind and helpful. We would love to come back again soon.Parking: Don't get it twisted- there's a free parking lot right next to this location. 1 hour free.

I've been here many times over the past few years, and it feels like each time I'm always disappointed. If it wasn't within short walking distance from work, I would have given up on them a long time ago. I have officially sworn off this location of Potbelly now. Ever since there was many management and staff changes a year or two ago, this location has gone downhill. The staff now is ALWAYS so rude! My coworkers and I order online, and I walk down the street to go pick up everything (usually between 3-6 orders). The orders are never correct. Always missing items like cookies, drinks, etc. Tired of having to double check each bag to make sure everyone got their stuff because the staff is too incompetent to do it themselves. Also! Since I am carrying so many orders, I politely asked for one of the bigger bags that has a handle. The employee (pretty sure he is management of some sort too) straight ROLLED HIS EYES AT ME, and make a disgruntled noise. Like wtf.... customer service here is TERRIBLE. They have had way more chances than they deserve simply by being located nearby. Food is barely mediocre at best, not worth it. My coworkers and I will no longer order from them.

As far as Potbelly’s go this one did pretty well for a smallish location. The milkshake and wreck w bacon were exactly as I expected and the three people on staff kept the store clean. I found it confusing to figure out where the lids were and napkins were sparsely located but I would recommend this place to anyone needing their PB sandwiches and can walk to this location (there’s no parking).

I visited here on on my way out of town, first time in Charlottesville. The attitude of the manager or assistant manager was horrible, I really dont know her name but it was a Caucasian lady who really needs to go back to training. She made the whole experience eating at this location horrible. She wanted to have a 20 minute conversation with me about how to make a turkey sandwhich with mayo. If you don't want stress, avoid this facility and drive down the road there are other sandwich shops with more pleasant employees willing to help.

I love this freaking place ❤️ the food is always good, the restaurant is clean and it’s affordable.
Soup and salad combo is a great low(er) calorie lunch option. The Charlottesville/UVA store staff is always friendly and helpful.

I love Potbelly's Sandwich shop, their Italian sub with everything is my favorite. Also you have to try Zapp's voodoo chips, they are insanely good and Potvelly's is how I got introduced to those kettle chips. They are a mix of BBQ and Vinegar. If your looking to visit this place, you'll have to park in the Standard parking garage and because your a Potbelly's customer first hour is free, I realized that after I paid to park (there was a sign right near the ticket kiosk). Good day spot for lunch
