Blonde bartender is rude. No one was at the brewery so we didn’t think it would be a big deal to move one table next to another to accompany our friends. I turn around to look at the beers above the bar and she’s complaining about us to two guys that she is playing UNO with. Very unprofessional. If you had a problem just come talk to us! After hearing about us I felt unwelcome. We put the table back where it was after we ate.Update: After the owners response we will be back! Don’t want to not give them another chance because of an employee.

The Garage Brewery is a wonderful spot in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Located in the growing city of Chesapeake, VA I just adore this local brewery. Their beer is on point. Have you ever tried peanut butter beer? They have it. It is one of my favorites. I do recommend 5 stars overall in the community sense. In the biker sense…it is 5 stars as well. They are supporting the local biker community with bike nights and attending biker events. The employees are really kind and nice. They really enjoy the bikers of Hampton Roads. 5 stars. We do recommend this brewery.

Great experience. This was my first time in here and it was great. Tried 2 different beers and they were really good. This place is what a brewery should be.

This HAS been one of the standout breweries in the area...but their beer selection has become very stale of late. They haven't changed up their offerings in quite some time. Theres a meh watermelon beer thats still on the menu in winter and a fall selection carot brew that should have been retired after the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers were thrown out. Same average Lightbulb lager, same icky IPAs, same godawful coffee beer. The thing is they do have some great choices every once in awhile. A few of their Boss Lady varieties are excellent. And in the summer they usually run a mango peach lactose ale that's fantastic and should permanently be on tap, much more so than Tidewatermelon Time.Atmosphere and staff are a plus too. Its an open area, dog friendly place and I've never seen anyone complain about lousy or rude bartenders. You don't have to be Oozlefinch and crank out 12 new varieties a week, but keep the good stuff on tap and nix the generic suds in favor of some fresh selections more often.

Stopped in with a coworker this past Friday after work. He had to get to his daughter's b-ball game. I had one beer. Bill was $7 and change. I left the bartender $2. tip and paid with my card.Wouldn't think anything of it however, I was looking up something in my online statement.I came across the charges at the Garage. I was charged $7. and change, a second charge of $8. and change. Two things crossed my mind, another patrons drink was placed on my card after I left? The bartender even said to me. "You only had one Lightbulb", or someone's screwing around. The tab I signed was $7. and change, took my card and left. How did a second charge show up on my statement??? I sent an email 3 days ago regarding the over charge with no response...Do yourself a favor and check your statement shortly after your visit. Think I'd be hard pressed to go back again.....?

Ever since moving back to the area, Garage has been my spot! Will is an incredible brewer, and he is always trying to different things to meet all sorts of beer taste buds. The Rusted Nail and In Dog Years I'm Dead are two of my favorites.Garage is also a great place for community. I have made so many friends through Garage, and the staff foster a neighborhood, welcoming vibe. The people there are truly like family to me!Garage is also intentionally welcoming and supportive of ALL people in the Hampton Roads community, having events during Pride, hosting fun drag shows, and partnering with local organizations that support amazing causes. It is encouraging and affirming to see a brewery valuing each and every person that walks through their doors.

Definitely miss this place! Just moved from Virginia and the craving for the Boss lady beer they make is REAL! Food trucks are always fire! The bar tenders interact with you and are very sweet people! Really know how to make your day better. Meghan was so nice!! The brewery overall is such a cool place to bring friends/family so we definitely recommend!

Finally checked this place out after moving to the 757 over 2 years ago. The brews are delicious, the service is amazing, and Kate and Meghan are awesome!

It’s smells like the SPCA in here, I understand that it’s a pet friendly place, but it’s disgusting. I can’t even enjoy my beverage without smelling dog pee.Edit: the business owner loves to leave snarky remarks to patrons rather than rectify the situation. Have you seen all of my 5 star reviews? Do better and get a more professional attitude.
