My husband brought home some food for Me yesterday, mixed greens, yams and mac n cheese. I’ve been sick and they say “feed a cold” and let me tell you, I ate it last night and woke up this morning feeling much better. Making it even better is that our 3 year old LOVED the mixed greens. Let me say that again A 3 YEAR OLD ATE ALL THE VEGGIES. That alone is a win. We will be back for sure. 10/10 recommend, run don’t walk there.

Great little spot! We came for drinks tonight 8.1.25 & Tamekia was great 👍🏿 Salad was superb, too.

Went there on a work assignment Sunday around opening time. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was chill and full of nice local people, and my fish platter was banging! If I’m ever in the area again, I will revisit and try the chicken, that looked great as well.

The food was amazing! Possibly the best fried chicken we have ever had. All of the sides were perfect. By far the best lunch we have had while traveling.

This could be a great place, but it isn't.

First, the front door, right on main street is locked with a sign saying use the side door. We walked to the side door, opened it and it's a staircase leading to somewhere else. The next door down doesn't look like the entrance but, surprize, it is. I asked the hostess if I was in the right place, she said I was. I asked why they don't open the front door. She looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language and shrugged.

The floor as we walked in was sticky. Very sticky.

The fries taste rancid. Change your fry oil.

The prices on the menu don't match the prices charged. The cheeseburger is marked as $12.50, they charged $14.50.
It was a tasty burger.

It could be so much better.

I took a date here and she had the fish dish and I had the fried chicken with the honey and spice on it. The food is very good and the service was excellent.

This was my 2nd time & it did not disappoint!! The staff was super nice, welcoming & attentive. There was a long wait, but it was expected due to Mother's Day & several large parties. The staff handled it with style & grace. The food was delicious & well worth the wait, I will be back. Sorry I missed the Pineapple Cake, I heard it was delicious 😋

I ordered the smothered chicken, mac and cheese, cabbage, cornbread and my boyfriend ordered the honey old bay chicken, cabbage, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Sweet tea, lemonade and chocolate cake for dessert. You will not be disappointed at all. Everything was seasoned to perfection even the drinks were good. It was busy but we did not have to wait long for the food. The waitress was nice, informative, helpful and friendly with good conversation. Typically I don’t leave reviews but we loved it here. Nice Sunday lunch. We will be back with family and friends. Nice to have a good eatery close to home, we live in South Hill so we came an hour and will be back.

I would love to try the food. I called several times and no one answered. The first time it kept ringing so I called back a few more time and it was like the phone was off the hook. Maybe I'll try again and if I get food I'll change my review.

Stop here for affordable, generous, and delicious comfort food in an upscale-casual setting with warm service. Full bar. Amazing Old Bay fried chicken & cheesesteak. Don’t skip the cornbread! Best I’ve ever had!

Some of the best food I've had in Virginia. The club sandwich was the best I've had and my mom loved her burger. The onion rings had such a nice crunch and we're nice and warm. If you're in the area I would highly suggest stopping by.
