I had made reservations on Feb 14. I had confirmation number and everything. I was denied service saying they don't have any reservations on file with them.
The restaurant charged incorrectly and did not proactively contact me after I call. Or give me a receipt as they promised, making it impossible for me to dispute. It is very irresponsible.
Food and atmosphere was very traditional Italian, the food was satisfying and the wine was good. The service was spirited but we did overhear a very unprofessional and long argument the staff was having during our dinner - since we were the only ones in the restaurant, we heard everything and felt very uncomfortable. They should straighten out their internal issues before I would consider returning!
Our dinner was lovely. The ambiance was cozy. The service excellent. My husband had the rockfish and really enjoyed it. I had the seafood pasta fra diavalo . It was excellent, a bit spicer than I prefer but my husband thought it was fine. This restaurant is one of the few local places with quiet atmosphere and great food.
Enjoyed my lunch with my friends. Lovely settings and good service. Food is delicious as well.
The food was nasty. It had no flavor. The polenta was watery and well as no seasoning on the shrimp. The ravioli tasted frozen. And when the food came to the table it was cold. It came fast but it was not fresh or hot. The cannoli tasted like a fried wonton and the cream consistency tasted like curdled milk. it was just bad. I will never return.
This is our 5th visit. Always excellent. This time we visited for Restaurant Week. A appetizer, main course, and desert for $40 or $55, depending on your selection. Excellent value. Value means nothing without tasty food, attentive service, and good ambiance. As always, the restaurant excelled. Main course was a salmon with a surprising delicious orange-flavored sauce. Tiramisu for dessert also excellent. Tiny complaint. The noise level is a bit high. Far from painfully high, just a minor nuisance.
Celebrated my birthday at Bellissimo. We lucked out. It was Restaurant Week. Three-course meal for $25. Great value! The Caesar salad, pasta and Tiramisu were excellent! My friends from Maryland thoroughly enjoyed everything! Will definitely be back and highly recommend! Thank you!
I lives in Fairfax for long time and this is the first time went to this restaurant. Quiet place with lots of public parking nearby. Food was awesome, especially the lamb shank. the bread was crispy outside and soft inside, paires great with olive oil and cheese
We had a special dinner for my daughter and we had an amazing meal. Thanks to the outstanding service by our waiter Mario the Lawyer. Thanks for a great dinner We will be back next time we visit.
The restaurant itself is small, but the dishes have big flavor! We came in at 6:30 on a Wednesday and there was plenty of seating available. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Not a lot of food options, but everyone enjoyed what they ordered, and we each got something different. Definitely recommend!
Another wonderful New Years Eve meal at Bellissimo! My Ossa Bucco was delightful, so tender and flavorful and perfect with the accompanying saffron rice. My wife greatly enjoyed her Veal Scallopini, and we both loved the cheesecake for dessert. O yeah, my bottle of reserve Chanti was the perfect accompaniment to my veal shanks. All in a a great evening, and we will be back again in the future!
Bellisimo was great as always!! their veal was tender and tasty and the service was extraordinaire! The waiter came around to make sure everything was good or to see if we needed anything and water and coffee service regular also. Cannoli was delicious, as expected.
Excellent shrimp dishes - my husband's with pasta and mine with slivered zucchini. Appetizer salad also delicious. Chocolate mousse was OK. House cab sav was good and affordable.
One is guaranteed an excellent dining experience at Bellisimo. We enjoyed Christmas dinner. The halibut was creatively prepared and included artichoke hearts. The lamb shank was tender and the filet mignon was very delicious. The ambiance is lovely and made for a wonderful Christmas sinner.
