My friend and I are looking for a new "go to" Italian restaurant. Hoping that this might fit the bill - unfortunately is didn't. First of all what serious Italian establishment cuts up the pasta? The tomatoe sauce was odd and had no real flavor except for an unusual tasting cheese - The salad also had this same cheese. Positive: Chicken cutlet was pounded and tender.

I came here with my brother and the food and ambiance was excellent! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience Italian cuisine. We ordered the Calamari with polenta and Frutti De Mare. They also have a great wide selection of wine and beer.

This place is absolutely amazing and the owner is very welcoming. At my rehearsal dinner for our wedding they did a great job of accommodating both of our families and making everyone feel welcomed. The food was delicious!!. One of the best restaurants so far I’ve ever been to and it is our new anniversary spot. Highly recommend.

This little hidden Italian gem is one to put on the list. The best Caeser Salad I've probably ever had; if you are a Caeser Saladaholic.. you know what I mean. The flavors, texture, and presentation was top notch on the Spaghetti Carbonara. Big shout out to the owners of this down town Fairfax Gem. Thank you for a great experience.

We came to Ruffino's after striking out elsewhere on Labor Day;however, this unintentional visit was surprisingly enjoyable! It was Fairfax City Restaurant Week so they only had their three course $35/per person menu. I had the watermelon/arugula/feta salad (as did my mom while my Dad had the fried mozzarella), the lamb bolognese (as did both of my parents), and the bread pudding (as did both of my parents). The watermelon was sweet and slightly grilled, the pickled onions were a nice touch as was the sweeter dressing. The lamb bolognese was another delicious item with home made, Al dente noodles. The bread pudding was not as sticky or sweet as I'd have liked. The other choice was a black and white cake. The owner was also our server and was very personable. I enjoyed my restaurant week meal here and I'd return again to try their regular menu!

I've visited this place for lunch twice in the past month - pretty good food! Seating is comfortable and they are genuinely friendly. They remembered me from my last visit! Their garlic bread is amazing and I love the alfredo sauce - it was quite savory. This place is in downtown Fairfax - I haven't been here in the evenings, but it seems like it would be a great place for dinner.

From the minute we walked into Ruffino's till the time we left the staff was amazing. We had a 90th birthday party and what a perfect place to have it. The food was delicious! I highly recommend Ruffino's!! My family can not wait till we get back for more of there yummy food.

I love this place so much!!! It's so cozy and the staff is so sweet :) I had the tortellini amatriciana and it did not disappoint, def would go here again!
What a fun surprise for us! We intended to go get ice cream after the library but they were closed. It just so happened that there was a fantastic lunch special! My 5 year old loved the spaghetti and meatballs, almost polishing off all of it! I had the spaghetti carbonara, which was also very good! We can't wait to come back to try some other things. Great service from Mina as well. Perfect spot after a trip to the library or splash pad!

Chicken Alfredo , Nevio Red wine, dessert all was amazing! The Alfredo sauce was light and the best we have ever had in a Long Time. The pasta is freshly made to order. Great place to have fresh and authentic Italian food.

This is a shout-out to my girl, BRANDY (hope I spelled it right)! She is the hostess, bartender, AND server. Ladies, and gents... DOES SHE DO IT ALL! First time stepping foot into Ruffino's and met the lovely Brandy. Service is top-notch and entertaining, to say the least. They are very accommodating - I even created my own concoction since they didn't have it on the menu and the owner, Mena, cooked my entrée himself. He came out to say hi and was very friendly. Now for the food....Spaghetti & meatballs. Simple as that.

The Spaghetti Carbonara was very creamy. It was the best rendition I have ever had of this dish. The Ruffino's Spaghetti and meatballs was excellent. The meatballs were juicy and melt in your mouth. I wish I lived closer because this would definetly be my go to restaurant! The staff is excellent and remembered us and what we ordered from a previous visit too!

Server nice. Sat down and asked about cocktails since I saw on IG, there was no bartender there today so no cocktails. House salad with the pear was so good. Lobster ravioli and spaghetti w/meatballs were good, although the menu says spaghetti came with bread and it didn’t come out with it, and we asked and were told no. $22 for spaghetti and meatballs is pushing it but portion was good.
