Good people, fast service, and the food is always fresh and tasty. So glad Farmville has a place like this.
AMAZING food, great atmosphere, and good prices. Perfect little cafe.
Loved it. Great food, friendly staff, great environment, clean restrooms and the best part dog friendly!
A very nice culinary experience. Scones-delish. Ice cream-scrumptious. Chai latte-flavorful. Overall best coffee I've ever been to.
I drink coffee every day and have done so all over this planet. These people know coffee, the ice cream and pastries are great and the service world-class. I will look forward to the next time I am in farmville.
Great menu and a fun environment! Many vegetarian options as well as really good coffees!
A lovely, intimate place located on Farmville's handsome and accessible Main Street. The restaurant offers coffee, baked goods, sandwiches and, most delightfully, ice cream from Virginia's own Homestead Creamery! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. Unlike many coffee shops, Uptown provides its guests comfortable seating with an unhurried, welcoming, "please-stay-awhile" atmosphere. Highly recommended (especially the vanilla ice cream!)
Neat little shop in beautiful Farmville Va right on Main Street. I loved the coffee as well as the club sandwich that I had. They also serve Homestead Creamery Ice Cream which is awesome
Coffee and food is yummy! The environment is fun! Staff were very friendly!
My husband and I went for dinner. He got the Greek salad and I got the veggie panini. They were both yummy. I also tried the seasonal Witch?s Brew. It was really good. My hubby wanted a coffee to go and it was free with my points card.
Nice menu, very tasty food and drink offerings. Sparkling clean everywhere (I cannot say how important this is to me and my wife.)
Came in on a busy Sunday ( a 5k had just finished) so they were working hard. Coffee was amazing (we both ordered lattes). Coffee was not burnt and served hot and delicious! Great little find! I always want to support local vs. Starbucks and this place was great, ample seating and a huge sandwich menu!
Great atmosphere, great service and great coffee and food. Doesn't get much better!!
Great atmosphere and food. This coffee shop has ice cream and cresant donuts. Service is quick and friendly.
Good food. Nice building and location. There are lots of workers that were supportive, although we could barely look at the menu without being rushed with repeated questions. It was not my first visit and I still needed a moment to read the jumbled board and I had a guest that was a first timer and she was trying to decide still.
I really enjoy the atmosphere at Uptown, especially on live music nights. The servers are friendly and the sandwiches are good.
Great food , awesome atmosphere, fantastic customer service and the COFFEE IS DELICIOUS!
Definitely an upscale establishment there in Farmville Virginia a five-star for you all your Panini's Rock. Also your coffees and frappes and all of those things also are very very delicious. Definitely you must visit this place if you are in Farmville Virginia area
Great location close to HB bike trail. Liked it.
Wonderful coffee shop, visited from portland oregon and was not disappointed. Will definitely stop by on my next visit back to virginia.
We pass through Farmville every so often on our way from NC to Richmond, VA. No trip to Farmville is complete without a stop at Uptown. Great for coffee and snacks but you gotta try the sandwiches! They are excellent!! Attentive, sweet staff and relaxing atmosphere. Love it!!!
The Yelp! review said this place was "hipster," so I almost drove by. Glad I didn't! Parking is readily available (metered at 25¢/half hour). The staff are awesome- knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. I ordered the Virginian- a ham sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and onion. They make it into a panini, which is fine with me. The ingredients are fresh and tasty, and the flavours are well-blended. I couldn't face another french fry, so for my side, I got a cup of the chicken and dumplings soup- thick and silky, chock full of actual chunks of chicken, dumplings, and vegetables. A bowl would have gone down like an elephant on a see-saw, but then I wouldn't have had room for dessert. My drink was an iced hibiscus green tea. That's right- I do what I want. Our Progeny got the Southern Reuben (with sauerkraut, not coleslaw. Baby steps.) It was delicious- the bread was a magnificent marbled rye, the pastrami was textbook, and the kraut was crisp. He, too, had gotten the soup. He got a chai tea latte- the most expensive of our beverages. Darling Bride thought that the soup sounded good enough that she bought a cup to accompany her Strawberry Pecan Salad, which had ALL the strawberries on it, and generous amounts of candied pecans and grilled chicken that was obviously grilled in house. The greens were mixed, and you *always* get a few nasty bits, but not this time! Her drink was hot tea- they had a ginger-peach that she enjoyed. Lunch was $42, which is a little steep, but we're on vacation, so we can splurge a little. Then, we went back for ice cream. The ice cream is locally made by a company called Homestead Creamery.Amongst us we got 3 small dishes- an espresso chip, a lemon crunch, and a blueberry pomegranate. The lemon was so bright and summery, the espresso so dark and rich, and the blueberry reminded me so favorably of my late mother's homemade jam... in the immortal words of Nathan Hale, "I regret that I have but one mouth to give for my dessert!" $10.44 is a small price to pay to make three mouths so happy! We're planning to return to town to visit one of the museums. I'm pretty sure we've decided to eat here again!
I like this place its a cute niche Cafe that actually know how to make a frappuccino.
The food here is great for lunch. Their sandwiches are fresh and the coffee is fantastic! The lattes are strong caffeine-wise, but delicious. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a small group or a larger one!
Great college town coffee shop. For a coffee shop, they have quite a few sandwich and salad options. And even provide hot options, including french fries which I find rare at coffee shops.
The Unusual is the best with a side of their homemade soup. It doesn't matter what kind it is because they're all great!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. The ladies working today are very nice. I don't know what drink is called what but I told then what I wanted and they made it lickity split.
Love this place!! Wonderful espresso and lovely staff to go along with the great food!
I loved everything about this place. Friendly staff, excellent cold brew coffee and of course, Homestead Creamery ice cream!
Uptown Cafe has delicious food! The location is super cute and the cafe itself is also! Absolutely worth going to for coffee plus so much more!
I canâ??t say much because we only had ice cream but it was good ice cream! We had chocolate, lemon crunch and cookies and cream. Cute little place!
Very friendly staff, and good food. We had the Unusual and the Spicy Shrimp taco.
Amazing hand dipped ice cream. Try the blueberry pomegranate, you'll be glad you did!
Just moved to Farmville a week ago. My husband and I have already been 4 times. Love the food, coffee, and atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and polite. This will be a frequent place for us to stop in and enjoy!
Drove from Fort Pickett several times the month I was there. Delicious food great coffee and awesome staff. Park a block away to avoid the parking meter out front
I love this place everything is good, little on the pricey side but just a nice clean environment, I have never had a bad experience I 100% recommend uptown cafe
Excellent location near High Bridge State Park for breakfast or lunch or just for coffee. Great sandwiches and lattes with lots of options. We really enjoyed the food and the coffee and will return.
Stopped in for a cold afternoon coffee on the way down to Raleigh. Drinks were good. Decent prices. Cold with some unique flavors. Though the flavors could have been anything, as they didn't taste that much closely to what they were called. Food looked good and we almost ordered.Glad we didn't -- as I was using the restroom and a large (3') roach scurried through the room and into a hole behind the commode. That wall abutts to the kitchen. Nice.Borax powder works for the big ones. Otherwise it was very quaint and nice, and right in downtown.Would recommend: YesWould re-patronize: Maybe
What a nice little coffee shop. Good coffee, service and they let us lounger with out of town friends. Definitely will be back.
Needed to take a break from furniture shopping here in Farmville and was told Uptown had good salads, so gave it a try? I ended up getting the "Go Greek" with chicken and it did not disappoint - especially that greek dressing!
