4.5 really but it was all real yummy...Would take Away half star for: strangely thin & rubbery Canadian bacon slices, the cappuccino coming out lukewarm and not very tasty COUPLED with the lack of fish (besides salmon) and pancakes!

The only reason this review is 4 stars is because they got rid of their Chorizo Hash.My girlfriend and I love to stop at Foode whenever we drive through Fredericksburg. We’ve been 5 or 6 times in the past year. I always get the Chorizo Hash bowl, but I was so disappointed the last time we went because they no longer serve the Chorizo Hash. I reluctantly got the Chiliquilles instead. The dish was very flavorful in its own right, and it lessened my disappointment somewhat, but I implore Foode to bring back the Chorizo Hash permanently. It was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. In lieu of bringing back the dish, I would love to have the recipe for the tahini sauce.

We had brunch—variations of scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon and my highly anticipated homemade biscuits. All was good but the biscuits were the star of the show, delicious, crunchy, tender centers. My surprise was the strawberry jam that was even better than my Gram’s. Given a jar of it, I could eat the whole thing, with a spoon or (pardon my manners) my finger. This was definitely my Saturday morning happy place. Thanks to my daughter for a delicious and satisfying birthday celebration!

The food is good, but the menu is limited. They change the menu for the season. The setting is an old bank. The service is usually good and the food usually comes quickly.

I went there about a year ago for breakfast it was amazing! We went there 3/16/2024 for lunch and worst food ever I was so embarrassed after bragging how great this place was being in an old bank. Service was good very nice server the side of Herb Fries were crispy and yummy but our Jerk Salmon Salad and the Warm Brussel Salad omg please Warm was not the word the Brussels were a little warmer than room temperature and all the ingredients were so dry. The grilled chicken I added was like a mouth full of Sahara Desert sand so dry I was choking. The salmon was so fishy smelling and also dry WHERE ARE THE DRESSINGS!!! Speaking of dressing the gentleman next to us asked about a side of blue cheese or ranch dressing . They DONT have either WTH who doesn't have ranch. Even a house made recipe of ranch. His dining mate complained about her salmon too so it wasn't just us. Too bad this place seems to have gone down hill. I won't recommend to anyone I want to keep as a friend!

This is my favorite breakfast spot. Food is absolutely delicious and great quality. Atmosphere is lovely and unique. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The only negative thing is the alcoholic beverages are expensive. A coffee with Baileys costed me around $15

Wanted to love this place. Tried 2x and the food is just not good. Chicken sandwich, shrimp and grits, chicken wings: all very mediocre.

Went back for breakfast twice and loved it both times. I just love the flavors and preparation. We even brought our in-laws when they visited in the summer and nothing but positive comments!! Steak, salmon, burgers, etc., are all great.Loved it! Went there today to try them out based upon finding them on Yelp. Rustic, urban, and unique. We sat outside and despite the warm temps today it was still pleasant. The food was awesome! I wanted the chicken and waffles but they were out...very popular so I went with the recommended chicken steak sandwich and my wife and I split a fresh salad...it was simple, fresh and just hit the spot. Thanks, we'll be there again soon.

Absolutely delicious! Loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere! Zero complaints or improves...the tenderloin was phenomenal and the cornbread was incredible! Can't wait to return!

I scoped this restaurant out and hoping to have a wonderful lunch with the family since this place really stands out compared to other restaurants in the area. I arrive on a Saturday around 2:30pm and they told me they stopped seating at 2:30pm because they are prepping their menu for the dinner crowd. I checked their website and it didn't mention this transition period but I understood. We went to look for another restaurant but couldn't decide on one and so we decided to return at 3:30pm. We returned around 3:30pm to get a seat and then they tell me they have switched over to their Happy Hour menu which lacks all of the lunch/dinner items they have listed on their website. We were hoping to have what was listed on their lunch/dinner menu due to family members with food restrictions. I just wish Foode would let customers know about this transition period on their website.

The dinner was delicious. The wings were the best wings ever. My husband said he could drink the fish sauce caramel. We had pork, chicken, and the vegan dish. I would highly recommend. They are doing some interesting flavor combinations.

Love coming here for brunch or a weekend quick bite to eat. The food has slipped in recent years but is still good overall. I miss the days when Foode was on Caroline St. and it had amazing food with a low key vibe.

This place was great. We went in for brunch on Presidents Day. The food was great. Their setting is an old bank. The vault door is right in the dining area. The servers were friendly and efficient.
