Where’s the beef?

I travel extensively for business. Pho is my favorite dish and I get it everywhere I go. I have literally eaten pho from Miami to Seattle. So I consider myself well versed if not an expert on the dish.

I ordered the large eye round pho for dinner. This is the smallest amount of meat I have ever gotten with the dish. Of any size. I kept digging around under noodles hoping I missed something.

The flavor was good, service was fine. The atmosphere is pleasant. But for the portion size alone I would not return.

I normally go to another Pho place nearby but wanted to try out something different. I placed a to go order of garden rolls, spring rolls, steak pho and steak and brisket pho. The garden rolls were normal, but the peanut sauce was THICK and no peanuts in it. The steak pho was not good either. The broth was off and not enough jalepenos were given. It was not good.

Worst Pho in the area. The hoisin and sriracha are watered down. The large bowl is the size of a small at other restaurants.

I went the other day to South Vietnam House to sit and enjoy Pho. There was only me and one other person. I tried to page my server 3 times and could hear it from the kitchen saying table 3. I was ignored. I ended up having to eat the food even though I wasn’t given basil leaves I was given cilantro, I wasn’t give. Enough bean sprouts, onions were skimp. I have never had this experience before so I unfortunately will not be coming back. My server also didn’t check in on me and when I told her when I paid my bill she said she was busy and I told her I paged her three times prior to pushing the pay button and I watched the cook get water and hear the page. You’ll see in the pictures that when you press pay it causes the pos system to light up. I technically paged the server 4 times if you include pressing the pay button.

Super disappointed there is no vegan pho. I am sure it says pho chay on the menu in the resturaunt but online it says ( beef broth) very decieving. Will go elsewhere. Their delivery through doordash takes 2 hours.

The food was pretty good, but not worth over $13 for a bowl of soup. We had 5 people getting soup and our bill was over $100. The service was extremely slow and they weren't even very busy. The place has NO atmosphere, it's a hole in the wall, which makes the price seem even worse. We'll go across the street to Panera from now on

There’s no point in ordering ahead of time.
Ones you arrive 40 minutes after placing the order you will have to wait an additional 20 minutes for a Pho soup 1 order. It had happened before but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Simply nop might as well go order in person & just wait. Hopefully you won’t have any errands to run!
Side note: They told me it was taking longer because my order was placed a while ago and the noodles went bad. The noodle come in a separate container though… still a bit confused

As the other reviews have stated, this place went straight downhill after the ownership change and it appears they will never recover. The food is acceptable, nowhere close to what it once was, but the service sucks. Employees act like they don't want to be there and that they are doing you a favor by serving you. Do yourself a big favor and seek food elsewhere.

Used to be kept us nicer. The food was still good. There was a lot of confusion about serving wine by the bottle (odd for a restaurant). Would go again for a pho fix, but probably not otherwise.

Bad!!!!!!!!!!! A simple chicken fried rice bad, disgusting, the food does not deserve even 1 star

CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

It used to be good. 3 times in a row, inedible. Don't take the loss, just don't go. It's trash...where their food keeps ending up
