I'd give zero stars if I could. I stopped by after working all day at a hospital for a bottle of wine. Wegmans refused to sell it to me without my ID. I'm 46. Absolutely absurd.

You don't understand... You just don't understand.... Just how excited I was when I thought I saw a glimpse of what seems to be a "W" on the side of the building when I was driving back to Warrenton, Virginia for work. When I almost killed my neck for trying to see through the trees and stupid window post of the rental. I almost drove off the road. OMG ITS A WEGMANS!!!! Ok if it isn't obvious enough I am a Rochester, NY native and it shows. I screeched your the next u-turn and zoomed back. I just couldn't believe how excited I was. It's not just a store it's a religious experience. Having been brought up on the regions finest example of how service and excellent food should be done. It was a like a serenity walk though for me. I felt for an iota of a second... I was home... It's been a long six years since I walked the aisles of this Heralded grocery experience. I spent 2.5 hours just walking around reminiscing shopping with my mom ( Rest her soul), and looking back at the time when I worked at the flagship (Pittsford NY). New ideas have come and stayed, some old ones still are a part of this routine. Glad to see Chicken French, my old friend. Many wonderful culinary experiences have emanated from being here, glad to say it's a contributor to my passion and career vocation as Chef. The it dawned on me. I need to get my Zweigles White Hots, it's such a huge regional statement. I think it's the best damned hot dog on the planet. After I was somewhat content with my walking around I opted to eat some familiar foods. My sushi and chicken dumplings. So good. I went home with about 80 dollars of stuff from the old hometown. Sauces, dressings, water, seasonings. I just need to find a fed ex store so I can ship it home. God I hope they go through with the land deal in ATLANTA!

I like everything about this store. It is especially nice to shop at Wegman's when preparing for special occasions or entertaining: flowers, wine, prepared foods that everyone loves, desserts, fresh sourdough bread(!), special holiday and seasonal tableware, cards, little gifts. Kids love the iced cookies (I have given the sugar cookies as gifts). The employees are very nice and helpful. I once felt unwell due to dehydration while shopping, and the pharmacist gave me free Gatorade. Of course my cell phone battery was dead, and he helped me call my doctor and my brother (for a ride home). Also the manager checked on me. I was so grateful. This store is above and beyond anything you would expect from a typical grocery store experience.

Reviewing a grocery is different from reviewing a restaurant. Most of us run in and run out, but Wegman's is a TOTALLY different experience. My sister, years ago, lived in the Richmond area and absolutely raved about it. Now I understand! I've used Wegman's Meals2Go for lunches and dinners. While the food is very good, it does tend to be expensive! The dinners are a real time saver for a single person and a working professional tends to value their time. Just picking up prepared meals (especially dinners) is great. No time shopping, no time preparing, minimal clean-up time. I especially like the French Chicken meal and the cheesecake is super!

I am in this store several times per week and I just want to say that while the store is well laid out and always serving up great stuff, the staff here are the best part of the experience! They are always so helpful, friendly and accommodating to me and very professional. ALL of the coffee shop staff make excellent lattes and always make me feel appreciated as a customer. Mel and Brian in the pizza shop are exceptional. Two Saturdays ago, I came in while they were cleaning up and getting ready to shut down. I was trying to get 2 pizzas last minute and Brian could have easily told me they couldn't do it but he offered to make 2 fresh pizzas for me. What he didn't know was that we had just come from my the memorial service for one of my 21-year old daughters best friends and she and some of her friends wanted to spend time together at my house so I went out and scrambled to get something for them all to eat. At a time such as that, his willingness to got out of his way for us meant so much to me (and of course, the pizza was outstanding as ever). You don't see that every day. Thank you, Brian! And thank you to all of the staff there for being AWESOME!

This is for the first time I am reviewing something just Cause letting those rich people knows what are they paying for it doesn’t mean it is close to your house you have to shop there Over price food quality is pretty much same as probably lower than giant Harris teeter or aldi

Wegmans- Gainesville-The cashier failed to provide a receipt. When I buy something, I believe I can expect a receipt but not at this Wegmans. When I asked for the receipt, I was told you can't have one. After speaking with several managers, none of whom could provide a receipt, I gave up. Interesting , because should I need to make a return or exchange, Wegmans demands a receipt. I used to be a Wegmans foodie;; no more. I get better service at Food Lion. Buyer Beware.

UPDATE: Received a phone call from the store manger within 24 hours. She apologized for the way we were treated and we are satisfied with the resolution. Good selection and decent prices, but customer service is severely lacking, especially toward a disabled, veteran, senior citizen. They had a special for frozen turkeys advertised on the freezer for a really good price. What I couldn't see was the very tiny Wegman's Club logo under the large price sticker. When I got to checkout, it rang up at the regular price. I asked for assistance and a very snarky assistant manager said if it rang up at the regular price then that was the price. When I questioned her and said there was a sign on the freezer showing a much lower price, she said I would have to walk to the back f the store and show her. I told her that wasn't a very good attitude toward a handicapped senior, she got even more snarky and said that's the only thing she could do. When we got there she first tried to say it was for a different turkey, but there was only one kind of ShadyBrook turkey. Then she searched the 8' x 10' ad sheet until she found the tiny Legman's logo with Shoppers Club in extremely tiny print. I told her other stores would ring it up on there card for the sale price and she replied, "Well, I could but you've been rude to me", when in fact she had been the rude one. Horrible customer service.

Well laid out. The prepared food is always excellent, never a bad experience. Wegmans brand bread and desserts are our favorite. Prices surprisingly low compared to Food Lion and Safeway.

Great selection and very clean. Their chocolate chip cookies are delicious too! Plenty of parking.

Wonderful wegmans! The customer service from Greg in the bakery was spot on! We had trouble finding the gluten free chocolate tart shells and he helped us find a few that were extra. Would definitely come back. Thanks Greg!

I order my groceries through my Wegmans app and it is so easy and they do a great job. I go to pick it up the groceries and it just takes a few minutes . I also pick up my prescriptions from the pharmacy the same way. The Wegmans app is a great way to shop.
