Ordered rack of lamb and it was suppose to be medium well! The Rack of lamb came out medium rare almost rare. Blood was still running from the meat. The manager/ co-owner named Phoebe came to our table when we didn’t ask for her and couldn’t take accountability for her staff taking care of the issue. Instead she went back behind the bar and started drinking again. The waiter did a good job and tried to take care of it. The other female waitresses were eating where the cook had our food.

My wife and I were in Hampton yesterday early evening and decided to try out Cibus Chophouse. I hadn't looked at any reviews beforehand. We arrived and dined early. Around 5:15 PM. We asked to be seated at the bar. We were taken care of by Roy. This is establishment is decorated nicely and has a warm and relaxed feeling. The menu is uncomplicated which I believe is a good strategy for a chophouse. Being awesome at a limited number of things vs average with an overly complicated menu is smart. Everything was fresh, delicious and the presentation was impressive. The service was perfect. Prices were lower than what I have typically paid for this level of quality and service.

Waiter was good. Nothing came out together. Half the drinks at a time. Food came out in sections . Waited at least half an hour for the rest. Steak was supposed to be rare came out med. Maybe just a bad day in the kitchen.

This was my first time visiting and I'm so glad I did. I was a party of three. We started with the baked meatballs and lemon pepper wings. Both were excellent. Dinner was lamb chops and half chicken with truffle fries and Mac n cheese. Again, all was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised on the portion sizes and the price was right. I will definitely be visiting again and telling friends about this place. This is a must try place. You will not be disappointed.

I put in the reservation that wife was gluten sensitive, her meal was served on a pita or nann, that was not mentioned on the menu. They wanted to know if it was a special occasion, it was our anniversary. Absolutely nothing was mentioned or done.

Food was absolutely amazing. Server accommodated us in every way possible and was friendly the entire experience. My only gripe is that combo’s (like French fries with a burger) are only available until 4pm. I found that odd. Otherwise, the ambiance was wonderful.

Our steaks were incredibly overcooked and were sitting on a sizzling cast iron plate to cook even further when brought to the table. The staff confused a 16oz prime rib with a 9oz strip - that’s how overcooked the steaks looked. No reconciliation to our overcooked food was offered. The Brussels sprouts and salads were great and our waiter was very nice. I’ll give it another go - not on a Sunday night.

Being relatively new to the area, my wife and I were on the hunt for a good restaurant that serves steak. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hidden little gem from Mallory. The Ambiance reminds you of a New York-style restaurant; the staff is friendly and courteous, the smells are fantastic, and we could get in without reservation. The staff told me we were lucky to get in because, typically, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are busy days. Another thing I didn't find out till later is if they have outdoor seating in the back, but it is heated. I said that we did have was delicious and a steak was cooked just just right. This is an excellent example of you getting what you pay for great food for the right price at the right place. I highly recommend dining here and don't forget to make reservations.

This was not the restaurant for me,I cannot speak on the behalf of others. I came in for dinner with a friend and as soon as I walked in I could tell I was underdressed. If you are a person of color, I would recommend coming with a larger group during dinner time—you may be treated better.I came in for a simple burger and fries and it took us about 45 minutes to receive our order. They forgot the bacon and that took an additional 15 minutes which they then tried to serve me burnt bacon. The edges of my burger were burnt, but I ate my food because I was hungry. It was that simple. Our waiter rarely acknowledged us or updated us on how the food was coming along, and that was one of the main issues for me.The woman in the kitchen ended up comping our meals and said it was because “we didn’t like our food” but nobody said that—she assumed. And she also kept saying ya’ll. I am one individual person.I explained to her the issue was the service and the fact that they tried to serve me burnt food. The whole experience was unacceptable on topof one of the workers singing songs so loud and obnoxious while we were just trying to enjoy our meal and listen to the music.Me and my friend said nothing rude, we weren’t loud, we came in peace , and just wanted to enjoy dinner. I still can’t wrap my head around why Cibus didn’t accomplish that on today—comping someone’s meal doesn’t fix the dissatisfaction of pretty much being judged coming through the door and I feel It’s a cop out for simply taking accountability for the poor service and distasteful atmosphere. If I ever step foot in this establishment again I will make certain to have my Sundays best on so I can be treated like everyone else.I say this to say it doesn’t matter if I come in straight from work or in comfy clothes, everyone should be seated and treated equally instead of judged coming through the door. You never know who you will be servicing and how your employees treat people are a true reflection of what you value in your establishment. Will not be recommending to anyone that I know.God bless you all.

Traveling to Hampton from Williamsburg to have soul food dinner. That location was close. Google our next options and Cibus ChopHouse had our attention. First off nice location with ample parking. It’s a Monday so it was quiet. Decorated beautifully for Valentine’s Day. Love is in the air. Drinks 10/10, appetizers 8/10, and main course 9/10. Setup was nice and romantic. It’s kid friendly. The owner is so humble and welcoming I would have never known. She came over greeted us and talked to us for a few moments. I will be back. Thank you for the great hospitality, food, drinks, and hospitality.
