BLUF: A hidden gem in Hampton . This restaurant exceeded my expectations , and for Virginia Mexican food , this is an absolutely four stars . Good ambience, clean restaurant, great service and good tasting food all combined into one.The restaurant rating is 4/5 based on Virginia overall taste . In comparison to other Mexican restaurants in the U.S. I would rate this a 3.5 but for this area, this restaurant is the top dog . Many menu options and good atmosphere. A good choice for a night out if you are craving Mexican.Parking: Open parking , small walking distance to restaurant .Kid-friendliness: Big menu with different options , from simple to complex tastes. Sorry no chicken nuggets .

Food was bland, no real flavor. I had the Del Mar Quesadilla. The seafood was not fresh. The menu states scallops and shrimp are included; however there were no scallops in my Quesadilla. Best thing about the Quesadilla was the cheese.

Mezcal is one of my favorite local hot spots. The food is great, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is friendly, up beat and full of culture.
Food, well if u want straight out of can, this is your spot! From the crushed tomatoes that they serve as chip dip to the soggy sloppy taco bowls with absolutely NO flavor. Yucky, my friend likes the margaritas, (over priced) and the service. I like the service, food sucks!
