I went by for lunch on 12/8/22 and a sign on the door said they had closed the business for good. Sorry I never had a chance to taste their food!

The Barking Dog is a neat little spot on the water. The hot dog selection is full of variety and a decent size. Their fires are crunchy and delicious. We also got popcorn shrimp the coating had a hush puppy taste, it was different and good! I would recommend them if you’re craving a hotdog.

Support your local hot dog joint. Yes that is the correct door even though it looks like it leads to the kitchen. Natural casing dogs. Great view of the water but whatever you do don't throw rocks.

Very much a hole in the wall, mom and pop type place. And as expected, really great food. Had the El Diablo dog and potato salad. The hotdog was fantastic with the jalapeño cream cheese. The right amount of spice with flavor. The potato salad was right up there with the flavor and texture. Will go again.

My Wife and I stopped byThe Barking Dog yesterday, Friday October 21, 2022. It was 12:15 PM and I figured the place would be packed. That was not the case, with only three people in there, one of which, was ordering takeout. My Wife and I sat down at a table. The waitress, who we has seen there before, passed by our table 4 times. Never once did she ask us if we wanted to see a menu. Ask several minutes, my Wife asked me if I thought we’d get waited sometime today. We saw the waitress just talking to the kitchen help, but never once, acknowledging that we were even there. After a few minutes of indifference to our even being there, we left. We’ve eaten there before, but our past experience was nothing like this. No more Barking Dog for us. I’ll spend my money where I’m appreciated.

Such a cute place! They're only open until 3p so get there for lunch! I had 2 hotdogs and I was full the whole night! Food tasted delicious. My husband got the Shrimp Po boy and it had so much shrimp!!! Get the Orange crush.. you'll be set the rest of the evening. I loved it must try

Best service I have ever had. The food is outstanding just wish they were open later on Mondays and Tuesdays great place to go great atmosphere great food will be eating there again soon.
Atmosphere was super cool! Food was absolutely amazing! We were shocked that everything was so cheap! Family of three and ate for less than $40. Damn good burgers!

I guess this is how you get served and treated when you go just prior to closing. Seeing as though I wouldn’t be able to call and/or take it back. Burnt on the outside, half cooked on the inside, bread smooshed, very sloppily put together and they put the whole pickle(not sliced sandwich pickles) on my burger. Something told me to take it back as soon as I opened the box in the car, but I figured maybe it’ll taste better than it looked. Very disappointed.

My wife and I have visited twice within the last two weeks and the food was spot on in it preparation. The fish sandwich was great, the fish and chips were amazing! Simple food, nothing extravagant. My wife had the crab cake sandwich and shared my fries from my "basket" of fish and chips and there were plenty. Service was warm, personable and relaxed. The place is nothing special, but that is what makes it a gem. Put this place on you list!

I was very much looking forward to this place from the reviews. As I arrived the staff completely ignored us and pretended we were not there. I tried to get the Attention of the staff and we were ignored since he had AirPods in and pretended not to see us from his peripheral vision. We spoke to another staff member who said she would see us shortly but didn't. The restaurant wasn't busy at the time so not sure if it was a race thing or what the explanation of this behavior was. Don't recommend this place never have I been treated so poorly.
