The problem with Hungry Dragon is the enormous amount of inconsistency. Even the basics, like won ton soup and eggroll may not taste the same from one visit to the next. And more often than not, the food tastes like it was cooked with fish, and nothing we get has any seafood in it. And, if you like the crunchy noodles that come with the soup, those even taste different from one visit to the next, and they are ALWAYS stale. When Hungry Dragon is on point, they are on point, but the problem is, that rarely happens.

they delivered our meal in a timely manner. asked for special accommodations with the meal which they did very well. I've ordered from here previously and everything was find but this time the chicken in both orders was dry and stringy. not sure why. I will order from there again with the hope the chicken issue was a one time deal. sometimes things happen.

Amazing!! I wish I lived closer because I'd order here every week!! The serving sizes were more than generous. I'm stuffed and looks like I barely touched anything. The customer service was fantastic too! He walked me out to my car with the bag since I had my little one with me. We will definitely make the trip out again!

A shadow of what once was. Beef and broccoli has become broccoli and broccoli. It's tasty, for sure, but it's essentially a vegan dish.Hot n Sour is hot, and... watery? No longer meets the bar for, "Comfort food".

Inconsistency in a restaurant is not unusual, but inconsistency in taste is not good. I order the same few dishes, and the end result is never the same. Sometimes, it's good, other times it tastes like it was cooked in a bucket of fish. Even the broth in the wonton soup tastes different every time. We order here more than we'd like, but it's close. I would not, however, recommend it.

I'm very skeptical about eating at any Chinese restaurant, but sense I'm out of State my sister recommended me this restaurant and let me tell you they are clean and their food is very good.

Ordered take out from them, it was very convenient with their online ordering system. The dishes were quite good, but two out of the four dishes didn’t have much flavor. I might be a bit too difficult with them, expecting more authentic Chinese food. Glad to see that they also offer Vietnamese BBQ over broken rice or noodles, will have to try it next time. Their price is a little expensive, but you can find their coupon from local valpack. Overall it was pretty good.

That Didn't happen

Placed an order with the rudest employee. I’m amazed they have such rude employees. Don’t expect friendly service here good food, but go in knowing the employees are rude and hateful so your expectations are low

I say go to walmart and get yourself a frozen Chinese diner, that would be better. I really don't know how can you screw up general Tso chicken, but they sure did.

I absolutely love this place, the people are so friendly and their food delicious! I was having trouble ordering through their website (couldn't find some things that I saw on their menu on Yelp) and the guy that answered the phone was so nice and was able to add them for us on the spot so we were able to complete our order. The delivery driver was super friendly as well. This is definitely our new go to place for Chinese take out.

I've enjoyed all the Chinese dishes tried. Will continue to patronize.

Food is really good but customer service sucks. When you call in the lady who takes your order seems to be bother by standards questions like "what size does your chicken fried rice come in?"

Hungry Dragon is my go to Chinese takeout in Short Pump, little overpriced, flavor not always consistent (spicy level), but I have been a loyal customer, order food around the same time weekly. However, I'm not pleased when Hungry Dragon closed early again when I tried to order food around 8.Businesses run on set hours, unless the owner clearly states "Opening and Closing times at our discretion".Customers have a right to be served if they turn up within business hours, with a caveat that last orders are at a certain time. It is not acceptable to close early because its a slow day, is just going to lead to more slow days.I understand the idea behind it but it is a bad practice.I can tell you the best run businesses always put the needs of the customer first - "We exist because of our customers".Not going to call a restaurant to find out if they're open when I'm hungry, just go somewhere else where I know they're open.

I had been travelling all day, was tired , and really craving take out Asian food. My regular place was closed on Mondays so I placed on an order here. I opted for pick up vs delivery. The restaraunt was clean, the staff person friendly and the food divine. The Lo Mein was flavorful, loaded with chicken and vegetables and not salty like so many take out dishes from other places. Although I did not order any, they have take away beer and wine(also available for delivery) Hungry Dragon won my business on this order alone and I will be ordering other dishes in the near future. it was a good thing my other place was closed because I would not have happened upon this great place.
