Parking: FYI this Shake Shack is on the roof and there is no signage directing you there from the ground. You can access the roof by using the elevators in the parking garage connected to VITA apartments which will take you to the bridge that stretches across the street and leads to the Shake Shack/Starbucks/mall entrance.

The best shakes! I've always got to try their seasonal flavors. The employees were SO kind. They even cleaned a high chair for my baby AND brought her out a few fries when she was fussy while we waiting for our order. There's a little playground right outside the door that my older kids loved. Will definitely return. Highly recommend!

Significantly better quality than some other local locations, e.g. Mosaic District location. However, the odd location; tight spacing and lack of seating; chaotic and hectic organization and tempo; lack of restroom; and basicness of the menu (not a fault of this specific location but Shake Shack in general) make less for an impressive treat, and more of an "if you are in the area and on the go" cost-benefit analysis. Consistency is hard to predict but I'd spitball the odds, if you were to come here 10 times, as being very good once; slightly above average 2 times; average 4 times; slightly below averafe 2 times; and then poor (but not terrible) once. All in all decent odds, given the area. I feel bad for Uber Eats/delivery drivers who have to zigzag through the mall to pick up delivery orders from here.

Always a great experience. Order ahead or risk waiting in that crammed little space with a bunch of other hungry people! I recommend the double cheeseburger, the chicken shack, or any of the shakes.

So in terms of the food, it's okay...I am bougie when it comes to food, and as far as burgers go, I prefer 5 guys. That being said, for the price, it's definitely worth it and it doesn't taste bad.Now as for why I enjoy coming to this place, it's the service. I think I got your name the first time we spoke a while back, but wish I had known I was going to write this and asked for your name earlier today...but whoever the tallish Black woman is, I believe the manager, I appreciate you. If you see this, I know you will remember me (Brooklyn) and I just wanted to give you a shout out for how personable and kind you were to everyone, how you kept the place tidy and more importantly, how you and the rest of the Shake Shack staff handled that large party. I recall you personally going to greet them when they first arrived and they were just standing around at the entrance, and you went to make sure they were okay. In fact, I don't recall a person/group you did not greet.It's not often, especially in reviews and also the world we live in, where people are called out for the right reasons. I hope your leadership sees this and acknowledges you. I understand the business world, so I doubt they are around to notice the work you put in, but us customers do. Thank you!

HORRID SERVICE: I decided to try Shake Shake in Tysons today. I wish I hadn't. After waiting in line for five minutes for one the couple ahead of me to decide what they wanted, I finally got to the only staff member taking orders. I told him what I wanted, he acted as if he couldn't understand me (I speak fluent English, born in Texas, no accent). Then, LITERALLY as I was ordering he asked the lady to his right who came to the counter if she wanted a cup holder, left the area and went and got her one. (It wasn't directly where he was.) He LITERALLY left me standing there while he helped someone who had already gone through the line. Outrageous! It would have been different if he had asked me to wait or something, but he just walked away. As a result, so did I. I left without ordering. Unbelievable. It wasn't even the lunch rush time, it was around 2 pm. I left a vm for the manager, told him about the experience, and mentioned that I won't be back. How disappointing. SS has great, tasty food but with front end service like that, I'd rather go someplace else. If you are planning to go I'd advise you to order ahead and pick up at their drive-through. Whew! What a disappointment. Bad service is a wrap for me. I figure other establishments will appreciate my hard earned dollars and treat me properly. I don't think that's too much to ask.

I just spent 17.00 for a double veggie burger. It was the worst tasting sandwich ever. Very salty and did not taste done. I tried to recook it in the microwave when I got back to work and it did not help at all. The fries were loaded with salt. I just through it in the trash just like my money wasted. I wish I had sat in and ate. I would have returned it. Crazy. Never going back. Now I need to go drink a lot water to flush this out of my body.
