Excellent food. Courteous, fast service.
I love Kob Kun. Its so good. I could get pregnant from pad Thai.
I live 5 minutes from here, and I wish I came sooner. I've tried multiple thai food places, and Kob Kun is one of my favorites now. Their pad thai, thai tea, and thai iced coffee are delicious, and I cant wait to try more!!! Their service has also always been so friendly. If you're looking for thai food nearby, this place is definitely a solid choice. Also appreciate how the main take out container is paper instead of styrofoam... this is the first thai place I've seen do that!
I'm a regular here and love it so much, we had them cater our party back in February. The whole night, everyone asked me where the food was from because it was so incredibly good. I got asked more about the food than anything else that night. The owner is so nice and works very hard, which reflects the quality in the food, and every dish I've tried there is mind blowing. I don't understand how I didn't know about this place until only last year. My only regret is not finding this hidden gem sooner!!
Food was good but ordering was slow. We ordered online and was told at 5:45 pm it would take 90 minutes. When I got there, they said another 15 minutes. Reality was it was 30 additional minutes.
I am joining the choir. My first visit Kob Kun was tonight for dinner and I already know I will become a regular. I was there at high traffic, busy, Friday night dinner time. Seating was full with exception of 3 high top tables seating for 2 at each placed butted up against the bar. No bar seating, blocked by these 3 high tops. Odd but not deal killing deterrent. I sat at one of them noting that in addition to restaurant filled to capacity there was brisk carry out service. The staff was not at all stressed out just going about taking care of business. Entire scene felt relaxed. Complimentary edamame was delicious. Peas were fresh and perfectly steamed served with flavorful Sriracha that the chef added a bit of vinegar and ginger making already great Sriracha even better. Also, accompanied by soy having a dash of sugar added. Entrée, Krapow was excellent. Perfectly prepared fresh ingredients served piping hot. Somebody at Kob Kun knows to serve food on heated serving dishes. In my opinion and experience price point is bargain considering high quality ingredients, skilled preparation, attention to details of service and located in high rent commercial zone.
Got take out and was completely impressed by this restaurant. Currently we are in the COVID 19 pandemic and the restaurant was completely prepared with PPE and clean/safe practices. The food was as good as ever and they even through in a side of edamame which was a really nice touch. Love this place, will be back!

I wish I could give this restaurant a 3.5. The food and service are fine. But there are better Thai options in the area.
We moved out of Oakton in 2017 and haven’t found a Thai restaurant that measures up to Kob Kun. I was in the area and got the chicken pad Thai for dinner and it was fantastic and super flavorful. They are always so friendly and sweet when my husband and myself go there. Would definitely recommend :-)
Surely a spot worth visiting, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the costs are convenient and it is constantly well kept here. Kudos.
My friend (who is in love with this place) insisted that we go together and that is how I discovered this hiddem gem. They have deliciouuusss food. Especially try the dumplings! Will def be going backz
I used to go there a lot. The food is good. The service is not! It's not that it's slow or anything, it's that they were completely rude to my black friend. It's like they didn't want to serve us. I never had that experience before! I went back after that to see if it was just maybe an "off" night that night, but had a different rude experience. The restaurant closed at 10pm. I walked in at 9:25pm. The hostess was hesitant to seat us, but then she did lead us to a booth and brought our menus. We placed our order. Five minutes later, another person (the manager?) came to our table and told us that they can't make what we ordered, because of the closing time. Then why were we seated? Why did they say the restaurant closed at 10, when they really wanted to close at 9:30? They were very snotty about the whole situation. I won't go back. It's a shame, because the food is pretty good and it's walking distance from my house.
Beautiful atmosphere! The food is wonderful for vegan dining which isn't easy to find. You should definitely try the Pad Thai with vegetables. They do take out and they're so kind and professional!
totally stuffed but kept on eating, soooo good!! Panang Curry, Kob Kun fried rice, corn patties. gonna have to find a bf in Oakton now
