Service was the best part of our breakfast experience. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. There is nothing special about the breakfast menu, but it appears that the chef took the time and cooked each order well. There was a bit of wait for our food, but it was worth it. Food is not gourmet, typical diner breakfast food, but the quality was very good. Corncake (corn pancake) was delicious, I have never had it before. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash meal, the Corned Beef was cooked slightly crisp outside, nice and soft inside. I loved it. My friend had the Large Fried Catfish Filet with Homefries, biscuit and an order of the sausage gravy. His wife ordered the Salmon Cakes with Stewed Apples, and Corncake. I have tried half of the Salmon Cake, it was OK.

This place is popular for a reason! There is sometimes a wait on the weekends, but it is worth it. The service is always great, and the food is consistently delicious. My go to is a bowl of beans with greens on the side - tastes so much like my Granny's that it brought tears to my eyes the first time I ordered it.

Food is amazing, the only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is the bathrooms are very outdated. One single ladies and one single gentlemans bathroom. The floors are so sticky and gross. That is my only gripe. The service is great, lots to look at around the restaurant. Would go here again.

Found this place on the internet, it was a wonderful experience. Staff so polite and sweet, food was great came out pretty quick. I would definitely recommend. In a nice historic town loved it everything about it.

I love diners and perhaps I do because my first diner was the Dixie Diner when I was a kid. They consistently have the best hot dogs and navy beans anywhere. One dish that used to be on the regular menu but is now only on their specials menu was the open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy . I will always order that whenever it's on the board . My other go to for breakfast is grits and greens . All of their food is absolutely delicious! It's always busy which is a testament to how popular they are.
