I am writing to bring attention to a concerning misconception regarding the uniform policy for military personnel at Gosport Tavern. It has come to my attention that some members of the military have been led to believe that they must be in uniform in order to receive service at the restaurant, despite this not being a requirement.The restaurant's menu states, We offer a 10% discount to uniformed military and emergency service members. However, it is important to clarify that military personnel are not required to be in uniform to avail themselves of this discount. Military uniforms are not liberty uniforms.This misconception has caused confusion and inconvenience for military members who may not always be in uniform while off duty. It is crucial that the restaurant clarifies its policy to ensure that all eligible individuals, regardless of their attire, can benefit from the discount offered.I urge the Gosport Tavern General Manager Aaron Brickner to investigate this matter and work with the restaurant to ensure that their policies are clearly communicated and aligned with fair and inclusive practices for all military patrons.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, I sat at the bar with my partner on a Friday lunch. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium and received a burger and chips that were visibly overcooked. The burger had char on top and was cooked completely through. When I showed the bartender she initially agreed that the food should be redone. I waited patiently for the replacement and received a burger that was raw in the middle, had no bacon and no chips. The burger was mostly rare with raw meat in the middle, i don't believe that it reached a safe temperature for consumption.I reminded the bartender that the chips were overcooked and she replaced them with fries after initially saying "they can't just replace my whole meal." The entire experience was disappointing and off putting.

We had a large group and were having difficulty finding a good spot to eat on a Saturday night. So happy to find Gosport Tavern. Daniel got us set up right away and proceeded to be a fantastic server in every way. Service was exceptional and every dish we had was outstanding from the poutine and wings to the fried green tomatoes. We loved the laid-back, friendly atmosphere and if we didn't live thousands of miles away, would probably be back on a weekly basis. Highly recommended!
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of food in this tavern!! Went for lunch. Food was seasoned very well, drinks were cold, and the bartender was awesome. I would love to come back here for the rest of their menu.

My fiancé and I frequent this place since we moved to the area. Eve P. Always has an attitude but we choose to ignore it because we like the lunch menu. Well, today my Fiancé found a piece of long Hair in his food. We asked for it to be remade and Eve originally agreed Then she walked back up to the table and said “where did you find the hair” we replied “the chips” and she said “ok, I’m just going to replace the chips” and walked off quickly before we could say anything else. When she finally returned to our table we kindly asked if the wrap could be remade (we’re still willing to pay full price at this point). She became visibly upset and said “he’s not remaking it”. We asked for a refund and she said “I’m not taking it off”. I asked to speak to the manager and again in a very rude tone she said “I’m the manager on duty”. So I said can I talk to anyone else and she said I’ll take your info down. She stormed off again. And came back with the bill and the box to go, that we never even asked for. You can tell she was just ready for us to go, I still had a full plate of food. She was extremely nasty. We will never eat here again. Not to mention she was only rude to the only other black people at the establishment. She was very nice and attentive to the white men at the bar that she was serving. As a black woman herself, she should be ashamed of how she treated us. I completely lost my appetite after this interaction. Nobody deserves to be treated how we were. I can’t believe she’s allowed to be in the service industry.
