I heard so much about this place I finally decided to give it a try. I must say I was disappointed. Fries came out first and I was able to finish them before I received my burger. I probably waited 10mins after finishing the fries for the burger to come out. I asked for no mushrooms but they gave them to me anyway and the bun was falling apart. I wound up using a knife and fork to eat the burger. Although they gave me a 10% discount without having to ask I am not sure I will give them another try with having other burger options in Richmond,VA.

Lamb burger was horrible!!!!! Overcooked. Cheese was not melted. Restrooms were out of order. Salt and pepper shakers were not clean. Floors appeared to not have been swept. Will not ever come here again!!! We came on a Sunday. There were only 6 other people in the restaurant at the time. Ordered our food at 1230, did not recieve until 1.

This place has great burgers. I was not impressed with their "salad" that came with the burger. The fries were great too! I'd go

Really disappointed , ordered specialty burgers with cheese , both came with no cheese. Then gave us one slice of cold cheese on a plate said sorry . Then I stated I believe mine is missing cheese . Server said oh kitchen didn’t tell us they don’t have the cheese on the lamb burger with cheese so do you want a different cheese , ISaid yes please and out came another slice of cold cheese on a plate .and they charged for the cheese . I did like the flavors ofMeat. So that was good , we I’llTry the other one in short pump nextTime.

Basic burgers were OK. Took 45 minutes to fulfill a to-go order. Cost 3x as much as cookout and the fries were cold and soggy.I guess I just wish I went to cookout instead of trying something here.

We stopped by Burger Bach on Feb 2nd around 9:00 pm and had the absolutely worst experience ever. We should have known something was up when there were only 2 tables sat in the entire restaurant when there was room for 50. We were greeted right away and that was the last time someone spoke to us. The 3 of us were sat in a booth and given menus. After browsing the menu, we sat and waited…After about 10 mins we noticed not 1, not 2, not 3 but at least 4 individuals around the bar area. One was eating behind the bar. One was just standing around. One was in the kitchen chatting with the others. And the 4th appeared to be doing some type of prep maybe? After 15 minutes of NO service, no acknowledgment, no anything we got up and left.Needless to say, I felt horrible as I had talked to my family into stopping in and grabbing dinner as I have had lunch there several times. However, it was abundantly clear the service at dinner by no means meet the service which you receive at lunch.

Pre-pandemic this place used to be great, but they never recovered after reopening. Third time I've gone in past year probably, and service has been really rough each time (1.5 hour wait for food, 1 hour to get guacamole and chips this last time). When the burgers did come, they were wrong. Sad to say we won't be back, but there are better burger options in RVA.

Lamb burger was dry. Shouldn't have been squashed. I would try a beef burger were I to return.

We have been to the Midlo and short pump locationsOur first time at the Carytown location. We were not disappointed!. Great service and orderd our usualThe Wellington and the Original. Of course the the triple cream bleu cheese french fries! I had a couple of drinks and my DD hubs was happy about his throwback glass bottle of sprite!!!Parking: Carytown parking is always a challenge!!
Great place to eat if you are vegetarian and easily converts to vegan as well! And they have a small lot to park in if you are lucky, so you don’t have to fight for street parking.Vegetarian options: The black bean burger is great! Take off the aioli to make it vegan.
It’s good but pretentious and the price is absurd for a burger. Calm down yall.

I tried to contact Burger Bach before leaving this review, but no contact information is listed on the website. For my gluten free friends - I usually eat here with no issue. Yesterday, I ordered a modified burger and made sure to ask for a gluten free bun. They messed up my modifications - no mushrooms, light sauce. That’s fine. I’m realizing that they also messed up the “gluten free bun” part after being sick the past 24 hours. Pissed is an understatement.

Went party of 30 people and it took them about 2 hours for everyone to get their food, all the food went out at different intervals. The fries were a bit soggy and the burger was good but it was cold.
