The tacos are amazing and the service could not be better. Located near the VCU campus, great to sit in the side walk seating and enjoying the morning.

The worst experience. We were a group of 3 and she served our drinks with one of the cups in her armpit and the drinks with served in a paper cup. Plus the food was served in a paper bowl. Mind you, this was a dine in. We had to walk up to the bar and place the order, pay and come back to sit to wait on the food. The food came out cold which means it was already made down. The hot chocolate we ordered had no cocoa mix just syrup. Don’t go there. The place was dirty and smelly. With fruit flies all around. This was a very bad experience.

BEST Country/White-Sausage GRAVY in RVA that I've found SO FAR(& I've been around & looked around for YEARS!! & the ONLY OTHER place that was comparable, sadly, closed during the big Covid shutdowns, ?.) But, with THIS PLACE, NOT ONLY is the Country GRAVY great!=But, they've TOO added Chicken to the bread+gravy combo!!!???Food: 5/5

Food is tasty but not extraordinary. They are understaffed but pleasant. I feel like I would rate higher if I had ordered something a little more adventurous. Solid breakfast spot, recommend.

the BEST waffles and dare i say, breakfast, in RVA (at the very least for the price) always quick, delicious, and the service is top notch. i'm here once a week minimum to study at the bar and get coffee and waffles.

This was my 2nd time visiting Capital Waffle shop, and let me say the difference between locations are very distinct. The waffle was sloppily served, the chicken bites(should have been strips) looked as though they were left overs from a previous order, and the staff was uninterested in providing steller customer service. The amount of flies flying around was a bit disturbing, and no one seemed interested in making customer interactions count. This location could take some lessons from the downtown Richmond location that is clean, environment friendly, and food served with a sense it wasn't just thrown at you...I would take a picture, but I will let others visit and make their own judgment. A complete waste of money on yesterday, and the waffles are still sitting untouched in my better...

My only concern the day I went is the poor attitude of the employee working that day. Not very friendly at all. I know we all have our bad days but you have to check that at the door. This will help promote repeat business. As for the food it was very good. Good portions and it came out fast.

Lots of options, even outside of waffles. The waffles were really good. Service was good as well and the prices are decent. Definitely worth the visit.

Maybe the best chicken and waffles I've ever eaten. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried, but still juicy. The waffles was crisp on the outside but light and fluffy inside. The crushed cereal sprinkled on top is pure genius. The staff is friendly and waffle inspired decor if super fun. If your in downtown Richmond, I highly recommend Capitol Waffles for breakfast or brunch. We'll definitely be back.

Waffle heaven! So many different flavors to choose from anyone will find something they like. It is a small establishment a few tables outside, 4 tables inside, and a small bar seating. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. We ordered the house chicken and waffles along with the Bacon egg and Queso waffle. Both fantastic, LARGE portions. We didn't finish and got boxes to go.

Ate at First Watch twice when on vacation in Virginia. Once at Williamsburg and once at Hampton. Crab Benedict and shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious! Service was awesome too. Great menu. Fair prices. Highly recommend this chain!

I absolutely loved the vibe to this place! I ordered the House chicken and waffles sprinkled with Captain Crunch they did not disappoint! If you're in the area and just want a quick bite wanting something different and delicious, this is your p

This is a small shop. They have 4 tables inside, so prepare to take it with you or eat and move. The waffles were light and fluffy, the topping that they offer were wide. We enjoyed this place a lot and my girls wanted Capital Waffles the next morning.
