Don’t order online but if you do call first to make sure they got the order. Their printer doesn’t work and when you get there they have no idea you made an order.

Fantastic waffle shop with all sorts of fancy waffles or you can build your own. I got a waffle with strawberries, bananas, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream and it was amazing. Took a bit of time to get my food but that’s because they make it to order which is fine. But if you’re planning to eat before a game at the Siegel Center like I was, plan accordingly.Milkshakes are good too. Service is friendly. They did everything I could hope for and succeeded beyond my wildest waffletastic dreams.

When they are busy they skimp on portions. The photo is my chicken and waffles order and this was the amount of chicken they gave me (less than half of normal)

Absolutely delicious! We had "the four meat sake waffle" fried chicken tenders, bacon, chorizo with a scrambled egg on top of a waffle.. sad we don't live closer to come back as a regular.

Affordable, cozy spot perfect for breakfast and lunch! They have a variety of options ranging from waffles, breakfast tacos, to egg bowls. They have a build-your-own option, as well as coffee, mimosas, and beer. The staff are super friendly and attentive as well!I was so happy to see they gave gluten-free waffles, since I have dietary restrictions. I was genuinely impressed because it didn’t taste gummy or hard like a lot of other GF waffles I’ve tried. They give you the option to get a half-waffle which was the perfect amount for me. Overall, great experience both times I’ve visited. Would definitely recommend!

Might be a small little shop but Capital Waffles is a good place to relax and get hood food. The service is very good as well the customer service

Food was very underwhelming, can definitely get the same thing at a cheap hotel that offers free
I really liked the food here; it was a cool experience as well. To be honest I've never liked much of Richmond's niche restaurants, but the Capitol Waffle Shop is definitely a star.

Seriously the best waffle i’ve ever had, and the staff was super accommodating when I accidentally ordered to the wrong location. I had mine with strawberries, nutella, and powdered sugar. Please try it!! You’ll love it.

Food was so delish! Portions outta this world lol! Will definitely visit again soon. VCU location was smaller than expected so we will try a new spot. Customer service made up for it though.

The worst experience. We were a group of 3 and she served our drinks with one of the cups in her armpit and the drinks with served in a paper cup. Plus the food was served in a paper bowl. Mind you, this was a dine in. We had to walk up to the bar and place the order, pay and come back to sit to wait on the food. The food came out cold which means it was already made down. The hot chocolate we ordered had no cocoa mix just syrup. Don’t go there. The place was dirty and smelly. With fruit flies all around. This was a very bad experience.

Food is tasty but not extraordinary. They are understaffed but pleasant. I feel like I would rate higher if I had ordered something a little more adventurous. Solid breakfast spot, recommend.
