As someone who used to work here, I humbly recommend that you save your money. Most of the menu consist of frozen items that are either tossed in the deep fryer or cooked on the flat top. These are things you can buy from Kroger and prepare yourself. The gyro meat consist of precooked frozen strips they heat up on the flat top there is no difference between lamb and beef gyro even though they are two separate options on the menu. Their chicken wings are tiny and priced at about $1 a wing. Of the few items that are fresh (onions, green peppers, tomatoes, cheese) nothing is ever dated after it’s been prepped.(huge no-no in a food restaurant) The falafel balls are frozen, the shawarma meat sits in a tub of seasoning in the walk-in fridge, then is cooked on the flat top when ordered. I’ve never seen them prep fresh shawarma. The only things made fresh on a weekly basis is the hummus, baba ghanoush, garlic sauce, tzatziki sauce, tahini sauce and the kabobs. The stuffed grape leaves come from a can. As if that’s not enough the owners are wildly unprofessional, they often step in to prepare food for paying customers w/o washing their hands or using gloves. I’ve even seen them let their friends who don’t work there come in and start preparing food for customers w/o washing their hands or using gloves. It’s a janky mom and pop shop, they over price at best mediocre food and sell it to these VCU students. On 11/20/2019 they were shut down by the health department for operating w/o a permit. What this means is they opened their store for business w/o getting an initial health inspection to Guarantee their store was up to code with national health/food safety standards. They were closed for two days to clean the store and less than a month later everything is back the way it was b4 they got shut down. Honestly this place shouldn’t even be open.

I’ve only eaten here three times and I was satisfied once out of those three times. The first time was the best and all I got was chicken tenders and everything was fine. Second time, I ordered online and I was 20 minutes away and when I arrived not only was the order not ready but it wasn’t even made or put into their system so I had to wait even longer and I was late to my meeting because of them. The final time, I ordered in person and I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and I got charged for something more expensive. As i’m eating the food, the bread is sticking to the aluminum foil and it wasn’t even sandwich bread. It was more like hot dog bread and the chicken wasn’t even seasoned well! And the fries were not great. It was a waste of money and time. Honestly, I still say give it a try and formulate your own opinion about it, but just be forewarned that you might be disappointed.

Falafel and grape leaves were great! The staff was very friendly. Can’t wait to return. Thanks!

I got the chicken shawarma sandwich and pieces of the chicken was not properly cooked. Also did not like the seasoning of the chicken. I took it back and informed the owner about it and got a refund. Never going back.

This place definitely has a lot to offer and a very friendly staff! The fact that they have fresh cut, waffle, AND curly fries! Definitely makes this a place to come back too

Stopped by the new place after getting a mailer. Lamb Gyro was great and Boardwalk fries have a nice kick to them (but maybe cooking oil should be hotter to cook them little more). $7.99 sandwich, basket of fries and soda is a bargain! Coming back!

Order a cheeseburger, the meat was so thin and the burger was hard but I can say that the bun was good.

I tried the lamb Gyro it was so bad, the meat is processed like not fresh meat and it has no taste, but the people working there are nice tho.

Stopped in the other day I didn't order that day but I glanced at the menu The next day I sent a coworker to try out the half chicken lunch special. The day for so ahead of me I didn't get a chance to eat so I missed out on the freshly cooked version but will be back soon

Serves undercooked chicken and would not refund me. Reported to health department. Do not eat here. Mike was extremely rude and accused me of fabricating the facts.
