NEVER AGAIN! Entered at 7:20 and left at 8 for two drinks. Employees had no hustle at all. Checking phone between drinks and meandering in the back, making everyone else's drinks before ours, it was ridiculous!!! No apology for the 40+ minute wait when we finally picked up. It was insane. NEVER coming back. Try Gigi Tea or Tea Do on Broad st instead. Save your time.

My brother bought me a tea but it exploded in his bag and I asked him to buy me another but they litterally just replaced it for free I’m 100% buying from them

This is my favorite boba tea place. The people have always been nice and the tea has always been great! I always get a caramel milk tea with coffee popping boba and it’s amazing.

It’s good for if you know what you want and how you want it but it might be confusing for if you’re trying boba for the first time and have no idea what to choose. I had to go there a couple of times to find what I was comfortable with after a while the atmosphere could be better and the service wasn’t memorable not in a bad way though

Came in for boba around 8:45pm one day. Online it says they close at 10pm so we think it’s fine. We get there and after waiting about five minutes they say they will stop accepting orders at 9:00pm on the dot and there is about five people in front of me and my boyfriend. Soon after they say their label maker is not working so they stop taking orders for a few minutes. Soon after, it’s already 9:00pm and two peoples orders are taken, and no one else entered after we did. We are next and the cashier looks just at us two and announces to everyone that now it is 9:00pm and they will not accept any more orders. I looked at the time and it was 9:03pm. It felt very unfair as they actually did keep taking orders after 9:00pm and we had just waited about 20 minutes for nothing. The fact my boyfriend and I were just only the last group in the whole store and they took other people’s orders past nine felt very unfair. It wasn’t like there was a huge line of people they turned away, just us. If they are concerned about these things they should simply lock the door past a certain point. So instead of then taking the last customers order who had been patiently waiting, we had to drive 30 mins to brecotea in short pump. Naturally we still wanted boba. At this point, most of the boba places in Richmond were closed but that one closes at 9:30 and actually did. This store is clearly poorly run and seems as if the employees are paid minimum wage/ simply don’t care about customersI recommend going to snow house boba instead - it is much better and seems to be locally run.On another note, when I have gone here a few years ago (don’t typically go considering it’s not that good) the boba is always incredibly hard and all clumped together. Doesn’t taste that good. I didn’t realize how good boba can be until branching out into the other boba stores around which are much much better. Also as a local, be weary it’s right next to vcu. Just like the chipotle on grace st, these chains are run by college kids who serve college kids with corporate oversight. Bound to be bad quality. Too sweet, bad boba, not to mention they run out of it a lot

Nice atmosphere inside the store, simple and quiet. Very patient if you don't understand something, good turnaround times for the drinks.

I love the service everyone in there was super nice but yea absolutely sucked I got a Thai tea and it was the wrong color I it's supposed to be a orange white color instead it was a disgusting brown and also tasted like chemicals my gfs tea tasted like chemicals too.

Service and atmosphere was nice but omg the tea here tastes like straight chemicals (it's clearly the cheapest thing they can buy) also I got interviews for a position by the owner a while ago and I know for a fact he always pays his worker's minimum wage smh cheap prick.

I get boba on campus at least 3 times a week and they are always so fast. Workers are all friendly!

I had never had boba before last summer. I tried a few places but they weren’t that great. My daughter told me about Kung Fu Tea and I fell in love. Here lately this particular one has been inconsistent. Either the boba is on point and the drink is not. Or the drink is on point and the boba is not. The last 5 orders have been trash. I just purchased 4 drinks through door dash which is more expensive thank going to the store. Two of the drinks were the same (chai) and were two different colors and both tasted different. I am really disappointed.

The slushes here are pretty good. HOWEVER, I can confidently say that their Taro Milk tea is the nastiest that I've ever had, and I love Taro. I even had it on separate occasions just in case the first time I had it was a fluke. Their's tasted like bitter tea and thick froot loop cereal milk that sat out for a while. If you like that kinda thing, go for it but just know other places make it better.
