Good experience, it's the first time for me. Tasty food. Ambiance is also good. Near VCU, so students are there.

EDIT: I usually order at least once a week, on average, from this location. In the last three orders, at least one thing if not several was incorrect. I ordered bagels to be cut in half; they weren't. I ordered cream cheese tubs; they were omitted. Last time, I ordered 18 bagels; I received 12. I'm not planning to order from here again.Panera has really gone downhill which is unfortunate, because I order from this location at least once a week; I often order every day when I'm at work because I'm busy and eat at my desk. I don't know why they keep promoting the sip club when they can't remember your drink when you order one. It's also bizarro world if you order delivery online because if you ask for utensils, the receipt says, "no utensils." If you ask for text updates, it says, "call first," when I don't require a phone call unless there's a massive issue with my order. It has also gotten super expensive with all of the fees. Twenty bucks for a simple lunch? I think my day in the sun with Panera is over. NOTE: while this is more of a delivery service problem, I'm tired of my food arriving smelling of cigarettes or pot. :/

Both the locations I go to are always good. Service people are nice and professional. Food is Good....Parking: Because of the location in the VCU area it's always a challenge depending on how busy things are. But that's ok. I get in and out with no problem. The one on Southside has drive thru.Wheelchair accessibility: It's good to have handicap accessibility. Good place.
Best panera around, i love the staff, always working hard, and the GM brain is so kind and helpful. i come here everyday not only for the great food but also cause the customer service is always exceptional ❤️ I LOVE

Near a campus so it gets busy. Offers good service better food.
Food and coffee are great. Some of the employees are wonderful. Now, management is a different story. If you look remotely different, then the typical customer they will watch you the entire time. He will go as far as to follow you in the restroom. I was a paying customer. I don't recommend going unless you look a certain way. What I mean by that is don't look homeless if you can help it.

Food and service is good but the silverware is always dirty and frequently there's no plasticware unless you're doing to go

I stopped going here for years because of problems with it. Went today because of convenience. They were out of medium and large cups. Went for breakfast and ordered a coffee. The dark roast was out. Mentioned it to the staff and waited. They forgot to put more out. Mentioned it again and they did it. Couldn't find sugar for my coffee. I asked...they were out of sugar (there is a Kroger 0.7 miles away--I think we could fix this problem!)We had trouble finding a clean table. Ended up taking out some wipes (my wife's magic purse has all things needed at all times) and wiped down a table ourselves. Floors were dirty.Despite these problems, the cash register still prompted for a tip!The one good thing..the oatmeal was fantastic.I'll try again in another couple years to see if they can get it together.Parking: Has a decent parking lot for the location. Spots are very narrow. Lot has plenty of room for breakfast. Lot stays full once lunchtime comes around. May have to pay for on street parking

Wtf is going on at the VCU Panera. Went two days in a row and both times half the menu was sold out. Went at 10:30 am and almost all pastries were gone. The food presentation was awful. The pizza was disgusting with way too much sauce and had almost no pepperoni. Really do not recommend coming to this Panera location.

This location appears to have been recently renovated and definitely has the rustic coffee shop vibe now and a much more open layout. As you walk in you have the option of ordering on the self-serve kiosks or with a person at the counter. They had lots of fresh pastries and breads on display for purchase which was very tastefully done. We chose to use the kiosks to order some bagels and drinks to go, so once we placed our order, the cups were readily available next to the kiosks for us to grab to fill up and wait for our order to be ready. After a couple minute wait, we got our bagels, which were toasted perfectly! While waiting for the food, I did notice there was quite a bit of seating all around for various size groups, and a large patio with both covered and non-covered seats. Another plus to this location is that they also have a drive-thru if you don't want to get out of your car. My only concern was seeing a booth that appeared to be permanently taken up by the manager and being used as a "desk" as there were sticky notes all along the wall and all of their stuff spread out on the table. I feel like that should be kept out of sight of guests and not have seating space being taken away that may be needed at some point.
