So I read all of the reviews from the last year before I walked in the store this morning. A lot of the reviews were from the last 2 months so I was prepared to potentially have a rough experience. Well my experience today was the absolute opposite. I was smiled at, my drink was made perfectly and in a timely fashion. There were no attitudes, my points were used and I ended up earning some as well.Gary, Skye, Val, and Kristen were working when I came in. They were working hard to complete orders, smiled at every customer, the bathroom was clean as was the “dining” area.The people working in any type of customer service job are just that; people. Sometimes people are having a rough day. This does not excuse poor service but I believe that remembering this will help the experience still be positive. Just be kind. Think about how you would like to be treated is you were standing behind that counter. ?

I visited the location recently and encountered service that left me feeling overlooked and concerned about potential racial bias. Upon entering, a staff member was visibly busy and, without making eye contact, mentioned they would attend to me shortly. While waiting, another employee stepped in to assist me, which I appreciated.However, my concern arose when I returned to the counter to make an additional purchase. I observed the initial staff member stop their task to assist a white customer ahead of me. Immediately after, when it was my turn, the same employee walked away without acknowledging me or offering assistance, leading to a feeling of being intentionally ignored.When I brought up my concerns and inquired about the staff member's preferred pronouns to address them respectfully, their response was sharp, further adding to the uncomfortable experience. It seemed there was a marked difference in how I was treated from the start compared to other customers.This experience has led me to believe there is a need for improved training at this location, particularly regarding customer service and awareness of racial bias. It's crucial that all customers are treated with equal respect and attentiveness, irrespective of race. My hope is that this feedback encourages a constructive review of service practices to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.

Customer service at Starbucks went downhill and keep going lower every day. I came in and wanted cup of dark roast coffee. They were out and said it would take a two minutes to brew fresh coffee but they would not brew coffee I wanted but medium roast because after 1 pm they would brew only medium roast. I don’t know who doesn’t care about paying customers, is it company or new generation of screw ups produced by educational system ? I remember few years back when Starbucks didn’t have what you wanted they would apologize, make it happen and would give you free drink coupon so you can enjoy it next time on them. Good old days that made sense, probably never happening again.

If you are NOT a Starbucks fan, this store will NOT make you a convert. The employees lack social skills and the ability to comprehend basic directions.It's everything that is wrong with the modern Starbucks store; it is literally a fast food joint (with a drive thru), teenagers elevated to the rank of barista, and managers who hide from the customers.Gone are the days, of the coffee loving artisan barista, the book store vibe of the joint, the long lines that took forever, but a product that was worth the wait and a barista (that probably) knew you by name.Now, you get this rubbish.

I have been drinking Starbucks coffee since 2011, it was a very bad experience 6 months ago. she was the store manager, and I ordered a flat white. I had my old cup in my hand and asked her to give me flat white in that cup. She takes the cup in hand and calculates its price, I am surprised and say it is my cup which I bought earlier and it is old. I have been using it for more than 2 months. She won't listen to me at all, and behaves very badly with me, I also told her that I bought my star ⭐️ 400 points from Carry Town and paid the rest, but she didn't believe me at all. which is very embarrassing for me. That lady canceled my order and asked me to leave, she wouldn't sell me a drink, I thought about my honor and came out and called Starbucks. Let me tell them the whole story, but today after more than 6 months they said they would call me back but they did not apologize. I did not expect behavior from a company like Starbucks ?

out of all starbucks i’ve been to, i haven’t been as disappointed with this one. workers have a lack of social skills and basic decency, they act confused when they didn’t hear your order correctly and make it a big deal when they have to correct it. they can barely look at you like your human, they don’t greet nor have any good departing phrases. no “happy holidays” “take care” or even a basic “have a good day.” it’s cool if you hate your job, but to be a decent human being takes nothing.

This place always impresses me on how they are the only Starbucks in Richmond that is consistently out of EVERYTHING. It’s surprising considering that they only ever fill up their drinks like 3/4 of the way and get an attitude when you ask them to actually fill your drink. Why do I even go here?

No matter what day or time you go to this location, the attitudes along with the ridiculously slow level of service - regardless of whether its at the counter or the drive thru- is obscene!!! you shouldn't have to be sitting in the drive thru or waiting inside for your order for 10-15 daggone minutes! If you have a choice DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!
