I've been to a ton of breweries throughout the country and Parkway is by far one of my favorites. Excellent brews, great taproom, and chill vibes. I look forward to stopping here every year while in town visiting our daughter at Tech. Cheers! 🍺

Atmosphere is great! Beer amazing! We went on 4-30-25 the bar tender acted like the customers were an annoyance. Didn't feel welcome at all even when we checked out. She wasn't friendly at all. Very disappointing. We drove over an hour to go there.

Parkway is up there with one of the best breweries I have ever visited. We stopped in on a whim with 2 dogs and a 2 year old. The vibe was great, the service was pleasant, the fried pickles smacked, the creek was a hit with the kid, and the beer was excellent. The Triple A is award worthy.
We went in on a Friday afternoon upon arriving to the area. On Saturday, while we brewery hopped, all we said was "this place isn't as good as Parkway!"

Always an enjoyable place to sample beer and enjoy local music acts. The atmosphere is family- and pet-friendly with an outdoor section with picnic tables and a small stream for kids to explore. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. There is an extensive merch supply and you can, of course, refill your growler and purchase all the offerings on tap, or bottles and cans. A friend and I meet there 2x a month to visit and have a pint of two.

With live music adding to the lively atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to relax with friends or family. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the selection of craft beers is impressive. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a laid-back place with good music, great brews, and a welcoming outdoor vibe!

Man, if I lived on the residential street that leads up to Parkway Brewing in the charming town of Salem, VA, I'd be in trouble. I'd be there every other day! Parkway Brewing has made quality crafts for years - you can find some of their beers, mostly their high ABV IPA "Get Bent," at many stores in Northern VA. That beer would lead one to believe they are an IPA-heavy place. They're not - they have 2 other IPAs that are lower ABV, including one hazy that I had, and several other varieties such as lager, kolsch, amber ale, and porter. There is ample seating inside and out, and lots of parking. This is probably the only craft brewery with this sort of indoor/outdoor set up (similar to many in Northern VA) in the Roanoke/Salem area, so it does get crowded. Smoking is still a big thing in this part of Virginia, so the smokers have a designated outdoor smoking area. I love the little creek going through the property and the foot bridge you cross. Food truck onsite the day I visited offered BBQ items.
I suspect this is a big live band venue too. The band that was playing the night I visited, The Troublesome Blues Band, was awesome, making their way through both covers and what I believe were original songs. A great spot, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
