Excellent food and service. Very large selection of appetizers and entrees. They start you with fresh baked bread and 4 dipping sauces. We began with pumpkin and meat dumplings, then I had the lamb chop duo (2 different cuts) and wife had lamb shank. Both dishes served with rice with carrots and raisins, and an eggplant side. They have wine, beer and cocktails. Only downside is that it's small (seating about 36) so you are close to other tables and during prime hours on a Saturday reservations are a must.

The three dipping sauces with the starter bread are amazing, especially the spicy mango. Every entree stews ordered was perfect and so tender. This is Afghan food at the highest level and taste.

Had lunch here this week and food and service were superlative as usual. Have been coming here since they opened and never disappoints. I had the chicken and beef tenderloin kabobs. Meat was tender and perfectly cooked—beef was medium rare as requested. A favorite place of my family and friends!

Lovely introduction to Afghan food. Excellent food in a cozy environment. The quality of the food was only surpassed by the service. We will be back.

Wonderful food and wonderful people. The place is small so also loud - not much they can do about that. We did have one concern in that they let a party dine inside even though they came with a rather large dog. There was no indication that we could see that the dog was a "support animal.". that said, we will be back.
If you love lamb this is the destination for a great meal experience.

Wonderful restaurant. We had been to the other 2 "sister" restaurants but learned that this is in fact the first one started by their mother. Besides amazingly delicious food, without our asking, we received 4 individual checks. Now that is service!

The food is delicious and an opportunity to try many flavors we don't always use in our home kitchens. I'm glad their business is doing well, as it was crowded. But for my own interest, it was too noisy.
Great food, great service. I recommend this place and plan to return!

Don't miss the squash or the eggplant. Lamb is always a good choice as well

A wonderful family restaurant. A gem in Springfield VA. The food was delicious and flavorful. Natural ingredients and authentic. Service was great and nice people. We enjoyed the pumpkin dumplings.. fresh and delicious. The Hot Mazza assortment had nice variety of eggplant and butternut squash . I'd recommend this restaurant

Do not be deceived by this restaurant's apparently humble location in a strip mall. Their food is consistently excellent and we always feel like a welcome guest. Strongly recommend making a reservation instead of just showing up - lots of other people are on to this treasure.
