Nothing like a small place to keep the food amazing! It's the little details that counts and these guys nail it every time!!!

Best place in town to grab breakfast. Definitely get the pancakes. Huge portions too which is awesome.

A great pit stop for our family road trip. Our waitress Karen was helpful and very accommodating to our large group. Everything was just wonderful and the portions were ample. My bf and his cousin attempted the pancake challenge without much success, but an A for effort. Would definitely return when next in the area for your all day breakfast and comfort food entrees and sandwiches. A little something for every mood. Nice variety of beer and wine too

Amazing food! i just got dinner there for the first time, from speaking to the gentleman ordering to tasting my first bite I would give them a 1000 stars! The G-Melt was absolutely great! Thank you and you won a new customer.

Went here for breakfast at about was already packed, only seating in the tall bar stools with a wobbly table. Simple fix which the management should have already done, I fixed the base myself but the tabletop could still use some tightening. We ordered a coffee and a mimosa, coffee was good, mimosa was a bit pricey for what you get. My go to for testing breakfast quality at a restaurant is the eggs Benedict. I ordered them and they came in a timely manner. The hollandaise was mediocre at best (Very bland), my poached eggs were over hard, and the ham was very cheap ham sandwich meat is thicker. Needless to say it was a little bit of a let down but, their home fries were pretty tasty and helped makeup for the lacking eggs Benedict. My wife ordered the big breakfast burrito and said it was pretty good but could have been better with a side of salsa. All in all, I would probably go back there as it's close to where I live but it's not in my book of favorites.

Super disappointing lunch experience today. We used Yelp to "call ahead," that was a good service. However, the food took nearly 50 minutes to come out. There were a lot of problems, missing toast, overcooked steak, butter on an item for someone with a dairy allergy, missing items on a sandwich, cold fries, etc. We come here frequently, usually for dinner and have never had close to this poor of an experience. Our server semi-apologized and gave us a minuscule discount (pretty insulting, actually) on our check. Needless to say, we won't be back for a while.

Yumo two days in a row . Everything is so good, fresh and BIG! No skimpy serving here. We sat at the counter and enjoyed the same excellent service both visits. Very nice selection of foods that can accommodate most meal restrictions- vegan, vegetarian, keto, gluten free, flexitarian (eats everything)!

Delicious!! Huge portions and it was all YUMMY! Mackenzie was my server and she ROCKS!!

I come here often. It isn't far from my house. The service is always great and the food yummy. Whenever I have family and friends in town, I bring them here as well. Weekends are pretty popular so you can expect a wait but I've never waited more than 20-30 minutes.

Stopped here on our way down to Williamsburg. What a great little spot!! I would describe it as country comfort food, with a bit of a modern twist. Like others have said, you could probably order anything here and it would be delicious. Everyone in my party was extremely pleased. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place.

Made it in close to closing time had to wait a bit but thats to be expected since I heard this is a super popular place. I was bummed because the two meals i was interested in, they were out of the ingredients, so I settled for the chicken waffles, thats not pictured and the shrimp and grits with french toast. The shrimp and grits were delicious, but wish it had just a little less gravy so i could taste the grits a little more. French toast weren't too bad. The chicken and waffles with bacon syrup was a swing and a miss. Waffle was just a basic waffle, and the chicken was bland and not crispy enough and was a cutlet/tender which i already knew, the butter for the waffle was cold and hard so couldn't spread it on. I would definitely come back for the shrimp and grits and I better come early so they dont run out of something I really want. The mimosas weren't too bad either

We have been anxious to try this place for awhile. We had heard good things. Food was good, the restaurant was dirty and grimy. Slippery greasy floors, trash on the floors, and disgusting bathrooms. They had a morning brunch rush, so I understand that restaurants can be left a mess, but at one time there were 8 employees standing around behind the counter!! Someone should have picked up a broom! It was like toddlers had eaten at every single table! So disappointed. PS. We waited 50 minutes after being seated to be served breakfast food.

I like that this location is bigger but I prefer the other cafe. We came for brunch. It was pretty good. I am glad that YELP gives the option for you to add your name to the waiting list. That was so helpful. As soon as our movie was over, I walked out the theater and added us to the list. We didn't have a long wait once we arrived at the cafe and I am happy about that. Idk I think I may just stick to the other location.

I visited the Stafford location on Saturday (02.01.20). While the atmosphere was nice and the staff seemed pleasant, the food lacked favor. My husband had the western omelette and I had the fried chicken and waffles. I agree with other reviews that the portions are large but I'd personally take a smaller portion if it had flavor. My husband ended up tossing his omelette after two bites opting for cocoa pebbles cereal. I did manage to get down my waffles but the chicken had to go. The best thing was the maple bacon syrup.

We happened to be driving by on our way back to NYC and stopped at this really nice cafe. The staff there was just as great the food. Everything there is fresh and made from scratch, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Enjoyed every single bite here.

the breakfast burger and sweet potato tots were amazing! friendly staff and nice atmosphere!

Excellent service and excellent food!! Enjoyed going there! Great atmosphere. You can't have most anything you could possibly want!! Love it!

Wow. Seriously. I was so happy to discover this place in Stafford. It finally seems like we have a unique restaurant of our own (shut up! I know there's one down in Fred!) - that has a unique flavor, ambiance and decor. The prices are good, the food is this weird mix of modern-meets-country, with something on the menu for everyone.

Had Chicken and Waffles! staff was was wonderful and attentive.

I love this place. Homemade and unique food while still offering the staples and especially breakfast all day and a full bar. The grilled Mac and cheese is a must try!!!

I had been to the Fredericksburg location, which is great, as well, but came here die lunch with a friend since we didn't want to drive as far. I like that this location has so much more seating, as the Fredericksburg one is tiny! I was a little sad to see that each location has their own specials, and didn't pay close enough attention when looking up their Facebook page. The food is delicious, I opted for the crab cake burger. This is probably the healthiest thing there is on the menu! If you have a strict diet, this is not the place for you! So much butter and so many calories! It's definitely worth the calories if you are looking to treat yourself. My server was nice as pie, and when I inquired about the crab cake burger, she got me someone who has had it before, because she didn't eat crab meat. I appreciate that as opposed to just pretending it's fabulous without having had the item. I will return on a day that I can spare the calories!

Ate breakfast with my wife. I got the Big Burrito and she got the chicken biscuit. Really good food. Also the coffee was on point! Quick service too!

Great waitress and food. Down-side is floors in restaurant are very slippery.

Okay place. Servers were very nice but service was slow. Waited 30 minutes for an omelette and toast and another order of eggs, bacon and home fries . When the food came we had no silverware or napkins but we also had changed tables to a booth ( the chairs at the individual tables are extremely uncomfortable!) My veggie omelette was very good with tons of fresh vegetables cooked just right. But my husbands breakfast platter was a little measley with 2 burnt pieces of bacon and a small portion of home fries although he did like the home fries . Would try another place next time through.

The restaurant is always wonderful. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Worth standing in line even in the cold. Their service is great. Very attentive, polite, and kind. My fiancee and I love coming here once a month or every other month because we want to savor and miss the place enough to brag and enjoy our delicious and well cooked food!

My son and daughter-in-law took us to eat here and this place cooks delicious food and big portions and the prices are reasonable. Love it great place to bring the family for some good food and great service. Our server was excellent.

Great spot! The shrimp and grits are out of this world! My only knock is that they should have more non pork breakfast meats (eg turkey bacon/sausage). Can't wait have those grits again!

USA food at its best. Rest. is very popular with the locals. Old dinner vibes. Went there on Friday night, waited to be seatead about 15-20 minutes. Order the fish and chips not impress but I will go back. Wife had the chicken steak, she liked it. Easy access, clean bathrooms, plenty of parking spaces.

Meh. I wanted to LOVE MDC but unfortunately I didn't. We stopped in on a Friday around 11:30 after arriving for a vacation. The Yelp check in through the app was so simple and ended up saying us a lot of time. A ton of people were walking in as I hit that submit button! Once inside we found the place to be super busy, which felt like a good sign. We were seated pretty quickly and our drinks were out fast but then we waited a while before being able to place our food orders. We went with half a stack of chocolate chip pancakes: way too many chocolate chips. We assumed they were be in the batter but when they came in a pile on top it wasn't ideal. There also seemed to be a lot of cross contamination going on. The pancakes had onions on them in several areas. The side of bacon was good- no complaining here. The breakfast platter wasn't ideal either. The eggs were good but the breakfast potatoes randomly had pieces of peppers, mushrooms and onions. Not enough to make it seem like it was intentional. Not sure if they were accidentally dropped in? I had to ask for my toast which was cold when I got it. The biggest issue was once we got our food we didn't get silverware right away. Eggs need to be eaten rather quickly and unfortunately I couldn't. This place has high reviews so maybe it was an off day with them being so busy. Either way I don't think if we are in the area we would stop in again.

An absolute must! I am from Connecticut and love a good breakfast. Was in town for the Marine Corps birthday and traveling with a fellow Marine in a wheelchair. We went for breakfast and it was so good we brought more people back two days later. I wanted to try at least half the menu. Service was excellent and I wish I could remember our servers names, but this was definitely one of the best places I have ever been to for breakfast. The Breakfast Bowl? Off the hook! If you like a good hearty breakfast and great service with a smile, this the the place. Thank you for putting up with a bunch of loud Marines who hadn't seen each other in years.

Cheryl Bacigalupi

The pancakes are delicious but too big for one person. I recommend plain butter over the cardamom one they serve.

In summary, we waited over an hour for our food and then one of the orders was wrong. My daughter had had brunch here and enjoyed it, so she wanted us go during our visit on a weekday. The place was packed, so we had a short wait for a table. Not an issue, but problems began once we were seated. We waited...waited...and waited for someone to take our order. The place had emptied out, and all that was left were three tables with no food (an older couple had already given up and left). Once 45 minutes had passed, I asked what was going on: no real explanation and no "I'm sorry." We finally asked for two of the meals to be boxed "to go" (my daughter and son-in-law had left to go back and get their own car, since we were running out of time). The food my husband and I ate at the table was good, but one of the boxed orders was cheesy and with gravy (the order was specifically NO cheese and NO gravy). None of us will ever return here.

First visit. The food was great and the service was fast and courteous. I had the crab cakes. Awesome. Loaded with crab meat and less filler. Clean restaurant.

First time here and it was excellent! Mackenzie has the best personality, super friendly and a great attitude. Hard to find these days. We didn't wait long for our food, which was surprising because it was pretty busy on a Saturday morning. Everyone was very nice, happy and friendly

Extensive menu featuring all of your Traditional Favorites with modest twists to make Deliciousness your new word! More food than you were planning to eat at once but you're gonna want to clean your plate. I recommend the Big Breakfast Bowl, Chicken fried Steak, and Meatloaf. You'll wonder why your mother didn't make it this way. Friendly and attentive staff.

Chris Cafferky

The food here was really good. I had a breakfast burrito with cheesy grits, and my wife has Eggs Benedict with pork, and a Mimosa. My burrito was changed from what was on the menu, and they had no problem with that. Service was very friendly and attentive.

We came for breakfast and left content, but also not wowed. The original Mason-Dixon Cafe in Fredericksburg is highly rated so we thought this one would be good too. Here's what we did love: 1) Space: It's pretty big and we only had to wait for 15 minutes on a busy Saturday morning. It's clean and there's parking in the front. 2) Service: Our server was very kind and on top of keeping our coffee mugs filled. 3) Variety: The menu is HUGE. You're bound to find something you love. Where we left thinking "meh" was the food. It was not bad, but not good enough to keep this place packed. My cochon eggs Benedict was big, but lacked flavor. Same with my wife's waffle and chicken.

On Friday, "Fish Day" as the door sign said, I ordered the fish and chips. Fried, dark, fry-burned, hard piece of what must have been frozen supermarket fish served. Fries ok. Fish, just awful. OK, tried breakfast to see if first episode was a fluke (get it?). Shrimp and grits. 4 little lonely, shitty shrimp in a thin lake of soupy grits. Something like 14 bucks. Ridiculously bad. Taking advantage, actually. Can't do it again. They need competition.

All I can say is EXCELLENT!!! This food is outstanding. The service is spot on! Highly recommend!!!
