Excellent food!! Great selection. Fast service. I had the black and blue burger. Slightly over cooked for the medium I ordered but excellent blue cheese. I can't wait to be in the area to eat here again
Lunch time double dog dare - poutine dog and philly dog with fries- fantastic! And destroyed! Staff is always super nice and food is always awesome.
We found this resturaunt to be just okay. It is small, crowded, and loud. Service is better than average for a local eatery, but nothing special. Menu is varied, but not notable. It feels crowded. It feels folksy. Its okay.
Food is pretty good, service is not bad but not great. Prosecco was overpriced. Id like more mimosa flavor options..
Best place for bunch in Stafford! (Not that it has much competition). I had been to the main location in Fredericksburg and did not even know that there was also a location tucked away in Stafford also. This location is always super busy on a Sunday afternoon. The hostesses arent the best but the servers and busboys are always friendly. Last time I came here I got the biscuits and gravy and a mimosa and man is their food is tasty! You must try this place out!
Had been looking forward to going back to Mason Dixon for sometime now. Still our favorite breakfast location in Stafford. Had the big burrito, biscuits and gravy, daughter had the chicken biscuit breakfast and the wife had eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Got there when it opened and as usual there were people waiting in their cars ready for the doors to open. Staff at this place are awesome. Food came out quick. The wife's hash browns were a bit cold on the outside but that could have been due to the in restaurant temperature being at 60 degrees. I am happy in sub freezing temps so this was heaven for me. Thanks again for another great breakfast Mason Dixon. Well done!!!
I tried the burrito omelette it was good with the cheese sauce. I also tried the cheesesteak; the fist time it was great second time not too much maybe because it was busy.
Stayed overnight in Stafford for a family event. Saw the high reviews for this place so tried it out. Friday night dinneit. Friendly staff. Tasty southern style food. Lots of hot dog options. Full fun bar. Very inexpensive. Kind of like a hip, Southern diner.
Great food and service. I follow a Keto diet and they have great choices. My only regret was that I didn't visit until my last day in the area. Otherwise, I would have ate here everyday.
I'm perplexed with the high praise and ratings associated with this place. Came in shortly after they opened on a Saturday and was surprised to see so many people. Nice decor, clean--we're thinking, 'Maybe this was a good look.' Great menu selection, they make everything sound so good that it was a little hard to land on a decision but I finally settled on the steak and eggs--one of the recommendations from our waitress because of the 'special, house made steak butter'. Orders took about what I would expect for a steak. Presentation was great--portion sizes are pretty large. Home fries were seasoned pretty well but were cold--like cold cold. Steak--lukewarm and no taste at all. Toast was thick but not what I would call 'toasted' at all. The best thing about our meal were the eggs and mostly because they were the one thing that arrived at our table warm. This isn't a place we'd add to our list of 'regular go-to' spots.

How do I describe the food here... "the way it should be". I am from out of town, saw this place on Yelp. It had great reviews from everyone else. Sometimes good reviews are not very accurate but I have to say this place is actually good. We simply had the typical breakfast with eggs, bacon, home fries and wheat toast. My husband likes his eggs over well, that arrived cooked the way he liked it without being burnt. I had sunny side up, and it was cooked perfectly. The toast is crisp and not burnt. The home fries were flavorful. If we lived close by we'd probably frequent this place.
I'm on a road trip from the North with a friend and we're both from SC. We missed nice people and seasoned food so we thought we'd try the Mason-Dixon cafe. The service was awesome and the food... my Lord! My friend ordered the chicken biscuit and they gave her a biscuit piled with four pieces of fried chicken, with a bowl of gravy on the side. I asked for more butter for my toast and they brought me four! Praise the Lord! We're back in God's country again!
We had been to the first Mason Dixon (in Fburg) several times, so we recently decided to give this location a try on a Saturday morning for breakfast. They have a vast, unique menu loaded with appetizing dishes! Price are very fair. Service was very friendly and helpful too. Coffee was decent.\n\nTheir chicken biscuit was outstanding! The fried chicken was really nicely done, battered and then fried PERFECTLY! The biscuit was outstanding as well! The gravy that came to go on top was equally as amazing as the sandwich itself! I got mine topped with egg (scrambled) and that made it even better! (BTW – All the scrambled eggs and omelets I saw looked amazing!) The side of potatoes were really nicely done… spiced just right, with tasty onions and peppers and the potatoes were soft and cooked perfectly!\n\nTheir chicken and waffles didn’t look like much… until you pour that amazing maple bacon syrup on them and then WOW! Again, perfectly prepared items in that competed the dish!\n\nOverall, we really enjoyed this visit and look forward to coming back – SOON!!

Very cute and friendly place. The food is awesome! We had lunch and the slap yo mama burger is one of the best I’ve had in the area. The kids menu is also great. Haven’t tried breakfast but from the other tables it also looked delicious.
Love the keto items on the menu and friendly service!
This place is phenomenal. The service is great and the food is even better. The first time I visited the line was wrapped around the building before opening. We were seated and received our food promptly. The second time we dined here the service was a little slower but that was okay as the food is worth the wait. My Breakfast Bowl came out and my potatoes were a little cold, I asked my server Laura if she could warm up my meal and she said she would bring me more potatoes. Well 2 seconds later, I had a whole new meal! It’s good quality service like this, that keeps a business in business. Thank you Laura for your superior service.
Great food. Great customer service. I can't remember the servers name but she is new to the area, she is married to a Marine. She has one of the best customer service approaches that I ever scene. She is full of Joy, great smile. She also made some great menu suggestions.
I visited this place on a weekday evening with some coworkers. The ambience is the diner like along with the menu. The menu is decent hearty food. I had the grilled chicken with a side of veggies and grilled mac and cheese. Nothing about the place or the food struck me as memorable. The food was ok. There were fruit flies buzzing around though. I would never crave coming here and will not be returning.
I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now, I am so bad I didn't try it sooner! The restaurant was cute - small but very nice for causal dining. The employees for kind and gave exceptional customer service even though they were extremely busy. The food was absolutely delicious, no complaints! They offered brunch drinks that were great! I would definitely go again!
Our first visit to this location. We have been to downtown Fredericksburg location many times and have been wowed. The quality of their food served is amazing. We tried the special of the day ( Steak & Cheese, Shrimp Burrito) and the Turkey Rachel. We both loved our meal. This place is bigger inside with a lot more seating and Plenty of parking. The food is just as delicious as Fredericksburg location. We Highly recommend Mason Dixion. It's our favorite place to go for high quality meals at a reasonable price. Our server Mackenzie provided friendly and impeccable service.
Good food. Good service. Good experience.
This was SO GOOD!! We were looking for a unique breakfast since we overslept the free one at our hotel. Now, I want to travel back to this area just to eat here more! The staff were very friendly and helpful; the menu is clever, affordable, and totally accommodating; and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. The spicy Bloody Mary hit the spot and the bacon strip garnish provided absolute bacon satisfaction! Go here, eat here, drink here, love here.
It was a Monday morning, so no crowd and seated right away. Good diner atmosphere. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Large menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think prices were a little high for diner food, but portions were large. My wife said her breakfast burrito was good. My Breakfast Burger was really good. (burger, bacon, egg, between french toast). The only real downside was the cheese grits. I was told I could sub for potatoes, but not about $2 charge, and they just didn't taste good. These 2 plates, a coffee, and a Coke were $31.
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. We had breakfast here this morning and I was very impressed. We were seated quickly, even though it was a Saturday morning. Our waitress, Charlotte I believe, was prompt and very friendly. She even chatted with our kids to make them feel included. Our food was very good. I got the shrimp and grits, it was amazing. Overall a very positive experience.
Not too shabby of a diner .
We usually go for breakfast/brunch, but dinner here is awesome too! The kiddos love this place. The grownup drinks are pretty great.
Awesome food! Great prices and super service!
I honestly wasn't the biggest fan. I got the chicken and waffles but the waffle was from one of those waffle makers that you see in hotels... no flavor, no density. Chicken wasn't flavored all the way through. Service was mediocre... some regulars came in and out waitress was barely paying attention to us. Next time I'm in the area, I'll probably just grab brunch in DC. Not impressed. $13 for a bland waffle and 2 chicken tenders.
I've visited here a three other times since my last post and sadly the experience was a pale comparison to my last review. To be fair, the food is noteworthy and delicious. The service has been inconsistent. Staff are friendly, prompt but the time between placing orders and receiving food was frustrating. I clocked it at 45 minutes. If your understaff, okay. a At least come by and refill our glasses. Overall, if you don't mind the wait it's worth a visit.
This place was recommended to us by the front desk manager at the Best Western. We had a fabulous dinner and loved the atmosphere. Definitely will be back!
This place great. I've eaten here twice and both meals were perfect. The egg sandwich was huge..more like an omelet on bread. The staff is awesome. I'd put this place in top 3 restaurants in the area.
I'm not the only one that thinks so, get in line. It's always packed, food is great, drinks are awesome.
Service. Food. Atmosphere. JUST DO IT! (We do all the time.) It's just one of those places you are proud to bring your family and it doesn't disappoint.
Great food and great service. It is worth the wait. The wait list you are able to sign up through is amazing and was a life saver on Mothers Day. The place we take company from out of town for some good food.
Food here is always pretty good and I love that they offer discounts to food industry service workers, teachers and nurses on top of having daily specials (half price hotdogs on tuesdays!) They also have keto options like keto toast and buns! the chairs are a pain in the ass (literally) and are so uncomfortable they'll bruise the sides of your bum. If you are anything bigger than a size 6, try and get a booth or be prepared to have a bruised butt and an uncomfortable dining experience! Love that they are locally owned!
The crab cakes are delightful, and the bbq bacon will leave you wanting to more. The staff is genuinely nice and the drinks are amazing as well
Must go to if you are ever in the area. Great menu, big portions, fair price and friendly service (even when crowded). In my top 5 of best places to go. You will not be disappointed!
Awesome find for breakfast!!! Quick service and very friendly staff. I enjoyed my entree. I will return
Great service, good food. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and seated. Within a few minutes, my server came to my table. Everything was brought out quickly and looked/smelled amazing. The food was clearly fresh. It tasted good, but for some reason I didn't find it to be that delicious. Maybe it was the dish I ordered? I know that a lot of people love this place so I will be returning and updating my review if needed.
