Nice brewery in Staunton, nice variety as well. No food here but plenty of spots nearby.

Came in today to have a beer and was very impressed with everything we had. The canary in the coal mine may be one of the best lagers I’ve ever had. Kevin was fantastic, very friendly, and helped us with everything we needed. If you’re in the Staunton area definitely stop by and get some great drinks.

We stopped for the night in Staunton while on a road trip, and were looking for a local place get a beer. This was just perfect. The bartenders were so friendly and attentive and the beers themselves were great! It looks like it's a lovely local spot that's also happy to welcome new faces too! Can't say enough good things. Will definitely be back on our next trip.

Awesome brewery stop for me on a Thursday evening! Really appreciated the small town feel and the overall friendliness. The beer was great, and Brooke was very attentive and friendly as a bartender. Ill definitely make sure to stop in Stauton next time I come through the area and swing by here!

We stopped here for a beer. The staff is friendly and the beer is good. We have a great time and would return.

Sunday night is Whisper-oke. You can bring your 6 month old and will sleep right through it. It’s the gentlest karaoke night ever and the Black Sabbath will seem a lullaby. In short, a singer’s nightmare.

Great beer selection. Always on point. If traveling to Staunton this is certainly a must go. Best brewery in a 30 mile radius. Come thirsty! The baker brown is my favorite.

Great beer. The staff is awesome. Great location downtown - several restaurants within walking distance

This place is the BEST! They care about their community, they are accommodating to guests and have the best beers! Bartenders and staff are EXCELLENT. It always feels like a safe space for everyone. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I am not a beer snob. I enjoy microbreweries, but I am nowhere an aficionado. I just know what I like. I have attended a conference in Staunton, VA for eleven years, now. I discovered Redbeard through the recommendation of another person who attends the same conference. My unfortunate experience is that I have only 2 years of experience with Redbeard. In 2022, I fell in love with a cider-type microbrew. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased quite a few to bring home with me after the conference. I was fully hoping to enjoy the same brew this year when I returned. I was so sad when I did not see it on the menu. I didn't ask about it because I couldn't remember the name of the brew. So, saddened, I tried another microbrew. I stretched my tastes a little and tried the Elijah Craig - '23 Moriarty. HOLY COW!!!! It is an imperial stout aged six months in Elijah Craig bourbon barrels. It is so stinking smooth!! At first taste, there is just a touch of bitterness of the stout that is quickly overtaken by the sweetness of the bourbon. It finishes with the warmth of the bourbon and the full flavor of the stout. It is I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E! I, once again, stopped at Redbeard on my way back home to purchase a couple of bottles to bring home with me. The staff at Redbeard are so welcoming. They help you decide on a brew. They answer your questions. They will give you not just a suggestion of what to try but will share with you what their favorite brews are. Redbeard has theme nights like trivia, karaoke, and game nights. I have not participated in any of these. I just enjoy the outside patio with my conference buddy. We sit, enjoy our choice of brews, and try to solve the world's problems. If we are successful in this endeavor, we will definitely share credit with the Redbeard Brewing Company. If you are ever in the area, you have to stop in and try a brew.

Disappointing experience. Tried the gold medal Pale Ale, which was a solid beer. Great fresh hop flavor and good taste.Experience was undermined by what I have to assume was the owner or beer tender who decided to take out his bad day on customers asking questions about beers. Judging from the material on the walls and the response to reviews, I think the owner probably thinks it’s funny to be rude. Been to a lot of breweries. I’ve never had a beer tender or owner respond to a question about a beer profile and flavor with ‘I don’t know, I can’t tell you, my opinion doesn’t matter anyway…’ If you’re in the region there are many breweries worthy of your business, such as Woodstock Brewhouse. If you want some good beer and pizza, try Shenandoah Pizza right next door. Not only do they have great local beer, but also great food.

I know it is a brewery, but the buffalo sauce is not to be missed. Anyway, nice beers, good food, and good service. Outside seating at the weekend, and plenty of room inside. They were still rounding out the brews when I was there, but what they had was great.

Rude owner/bar tender. Presumably, he thinks he’s funny, but really is just an angry person who uses his job to take out his frustration on customers. You never know what kind of day a person is having is a motto I try to live by. In this case, something horrible must have happened to him. The attitude matches all the wall and door notifications. Read other reviews and responses from this and other websites before you patronize this business. There are many other options very close that offer a better atmosphere, employees, and frankly, better beer. Beer here is pretty pedestrian. 1 out of 2 beers I tried was ok. The other was not good. Serious aftertaste of bananas. Probably compromised batch. That’s not surprising when you see how ‘clean’ the brewery is. Just check out the bathrooms and check glassware for cleanliness before drinking.
