Great ambiance. Food was excellent, especially the lamb shank. Service was outstanding. Highly recommended.
Great food and wonderful atmosphere came for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience.
We came here tonight as a family to celebrate my husband's birthday. The whole experience was very pleasant and way beyond our expectations. The moment we walked into the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the manager. The restaurant has a classic style and the atmosphere is cozy. The food was good too. I had a dinner appointment before this, so we only ordered the onion soup, lamb shanks, sea bass and duck legs. All was great. The highlight were the desserts and a surprise birthday song for my husband organized by the restaurant manager. The presentation of making Irish coffees for a table next to us was amazing too, definitely a ceremony. We were glad that we chose Renaissance for my husband's birthday celebration and will definitely visit again.

There were 7 of us to celebrate an 85th birthday. The service was great, Saeed was very attentive and his staff made it lots of fun. The food was great as always, everyone loved what they had. The best French75 I've had in a long time. Of course we will go back to this hidden gem in Vienna.
Do not expect a huge spacious restaurant, instead you'll find a cozy and warm two room very well decorated. Each with their own character. From the chairs. All different for each table. The silverware unique on each table and the walls full of French artwork. In the main room you'll see some delightful murals. The food is really good and the service excellent. Good variety of wines and cocktails. We went the for our wedding anniversary and since we enter they greeted us with a "happy anniversary!" Also they offered to take a picture of us. At the end they gave us a complimentary dessert. Great experience. Definitely, we'll be return. The reason for the 4 starts is that we notice food and drink stains on the walls and a couple flies by the window, easy fix right?
Absolutely loved this place!Owner was very friendly, the fish dishes were delicious, great selection of wine ! Definitely a place to go back to.Food: 5/5
We did the wine pairing with the chefâs tasting menu, and both were truly delicious! What a special treat to celebrate our anniversary. The service was something special, as well. The joy of celebrating with the diners really came through. Would highly recommend!
The service and food is is beyond exceptional. I had the chance to take my dad here for his birthday and they made it so special. We started off with the with the Échantillonneur de fruits de mer, which was the shrimp, crab and lobster ravioli sampler. Absolutely amazing! Smaller appetizer portion, but everything was so tasty. My dad and I both got the Jarrets d'agneau braisés au vin rouge. Which is lamb shank which was so fall off the bone tender. Awesome flavor and the vegetables that came with it paired perfectly. They also came out with a surprise plate of desert and a candle for my dad. It was a Monday so the restaurant was quite empty, but the server and the few tables in the restaurant all sang happy birthday to him. Would recommend this place, such amazing service that makes you feel very welcome and at home.
It was a Saturday night and very crowded. Immediately after being seated we ordered an Alsacian white wine. I was not familiar with any of the 4 on the wine list but thought I might have tried one before. I asked the waiter if this was a dry wine and he said yes. When we tasted the bottle it was room temperature and sweet. We sent it back and ordered a bottle of Sancerre. We were not given an ice bucket for the wine and had to share the bucket placed 10â away at an adjacent table. We drank the entire bottle with nothing but bread and butter for the next 2 hours while waiting for our first course. When we finally asked about our meal the waiter asked us what we had ordered. When the first course arrived we ordered an Argentine Malbec for our main course - calveâs liver and lamb shank.. When the main course arrived it was halibut and something else. We returned it and waited another 15 minutes before the right meals arrived. Lamb shank was good, but liver was so tough my wife couldnât eat it. By this time we had been there close to 3 hours and just asked for the check rather than get another liver. They gave us a complimentary dessert, which was nice. 3 hours and $300 later we left, not to return again.
Wonderful food and service.
Very cute, cozy, romantic setting, hospitable staff. We didn’t even realize the owner was attending to us. Really nice guy, reminds me of my father (they have the same name too). Food was great, would recommend.
Saeed greeted us warmly and interacted with us in a pleasantly humorous way during our stay. The artwork is nice but the fresh flower arrangements were beautiful and added to the romantic atmosphere. The menu has many choices drawing mainly from French favorites, but they also offer a few pasta dishes. To generalize, the selections and presentation are more traditional than one often encounters, and they offer some dishes that are pleasant, but have become harder to find. For this reason I imagine many will consider the restaurant a lucky find. Many desert choices are flambeed. We ordered the cherries flambe over ice cream. Simple but quite nice. I would say the prices are a tad high for what they are doing, but my wife and I enjoyed ourselves as did those seated around us.
Overall a nice Retro French fare experience. A bit over-priced perhaps. Owner is pleasant.
Great restaurant for fine dining, romantic dinner, special celebrations! My husband's 80th birthday celebration - a party of 7 - was a beautiful evening, thanks to owner Saeed Abtahi. We highly recommend this restaurant!
