Decided to try this place on a whim! I LOVE that there wasn't one TV in the place, in fact the diner was relatively quite and had an old school vibe. The food was decent, nothing to write home about. The employees all seemed oddly quiet and sullen, customer service was lacking. The bathrooms were pretty gross but overall hey, it is what it is.

Great food, and great service. The diner is a bit dated but that adds to the diner feel. Will go again to try some more options. If your looking for a good mom and pop diner this is your spot.

This morning I unfortunately experienced discrimination for having a disability and bringing my service dog with me and racism. I had a power outage which caused me to have to leave home and find a restaurant with a socket for me to plug in my computer so I could log in for work. I called Nick's Diner prior to getting an uber ride there, asking if they could accommodate me needing power and they said yes. I arrive and as soon as I walk in, everyone stops and stares (including the 3 staff members), no one speaks or greets me. I proceed to say, "Hello, I called earlier for the seat with the power socket. " The host looks at me and says, "You have a dog. " I say, "yes she is a service dog, where is the socket seat? She points to the table behind me. I turn too walk to the table and Becky decides to mumble, "she is not a service dog, she is an emotional support dog. " I immediately turn in disbelief and say, "She is a service dog, not an emotional support dog. " Becky then says, "well some people try to say that and it's not the case. " I tell her, I am not everyone so she is exactly what I said she is, a service dog. " I sit down she brings water as I'm finding a new location to eat and work from because I am beyond upset and do not feel comfortable sitting or eating at this establishment. Mind you I'm late for work at this point all i need is power to turn on my dead laptop. As I'm looking another Caucasian family comes in and all 3 staff members exclaims, "Hello, welcome to Nick's!" I then find a new restaurant and requested my 2nd uber ride to take me to pop's diner. I approach the women and ask for her name( the one that mumbled), she hesitated and the host told me her name is Becky. I then turn and leave. Never have I experienced such rude and unprofessional women and had no regard for my disability, no care knowing that I was there to work, made me completely uncomfortable being the only black person in the building. It's sad and sickening people still are this hateful.

First time eating there, had the French Toast combo, sunny side up eggs, sausage Pattie’s & grits. Food was amazing! So good! Everything was hot when I picked it up, the people who work there are so nice & sweet, the customers are amazing too lol. Kinda expensive, my food was $18 & some change but I was full & happy. 10/10 would recommend!
First bite of omelet had egg shell. Never offered to refill coffee. It was satisfactory but not great.

09/17/23Happened to be by this spot and decided to try it out. A very old school place, with lots of choices on the menu. I did country fried steak. Asked for eggs over easy and they cooked them perfectly. Solid food here. The pancakes and waffles looked awesome, so many others had them on their plates. I would go back. Credit card machine was not working and I am glad I had cash on me. Don't always. Give this place a try.
