Smartmouth Brewing Pilot House

Came here for their Dog Days of Summer event and we had a great time. The staff was very sweet to our dogs. They had a little doggy pool to let the pups cool off from the heat. We got to spin a wheel for the chance to win free things for our dogs. We got two free pup cups.

Good vibes all around. All of the staff was very friendly. Lots of seating options. Plenty of beer to choose from; I’m not a huge fan of beer but was able to find something I liked.

The pizza was decent. Nothing special, but not the worst I’ve ever had. I got The Hive.

Great place to hang out, especially when they have live music. The board game selection was lack luster and a lot of things were missing from them. But it’s a brewery, not a game bar. Highly recommend bringing your own games if you’re into that.

The brick oven pizza was delicious. Servers very friendly and knowledgeable

Very chill laid back atmosphere. Surprised it wasn't busy on a Saturday. Enjoyed two beers. Wish they had something more citrus forward, but overall pleased with my selections.

The pizza and sour beers were unbelievable! Taking my mom here might have been her best experience of all time!

Smartmouth is the absolute best place for a craft beer (and Cider/Wine) at the Ocean Front. Staff are great. Locals and Tourists are all welcome here. Cheers!!!

Pizza is OK. Nothing out of the ordinary. No ice water offered or fountain drinks available. Had to clean up a table ourselves while employees watched. doubt we would return.

Surprisingly quiet the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. Excellent selection of beers and pizzas 🍕. They have a pizza oven onsite. Nice North facing deck.

We arrived at Smartmouth during a busy Friday evening, there was a decent size line at the bar but it moved quickly. The girl and guy behind the bar were super friendly and quick to serve the patrons. Half of the bar seemed to be closed off for a private event, maybe that’s why the other half seemed a bit more hectic but we had a great experience anyway. A large taplist of beer for on site and a good amount of beer & merch to go. It’s easy to see why so many people recommended Smartmouth to us when they heard we were staying in Virginia Beach!

One of the best breweries around! They always have a great variety of beers on tap, and the staff is so willing to help you find just the right one. Taproom is spacious, and can accommodate parties both large and small. Great place to hang out, play cards, and people watch. They also offer seltzers, wine and sodas for all the non-beer drinkers. Delicious Chelsea Bakehouse Pizza on hand when you get the munchies. Don't forget to ask the staff about their Inner Circle membership!

Services is douche. Don’t care for the left wing political nonsense. GM needs to be replaced, she starts unnecessary drama.
