Warm Springs Gallery & Garden Cafe

Coming back 3 years later and it’s just as great as it was back then: a gallery with exquisitely selected art from local and regional artists (wood, painting, basket weaving, glass, etc) and a great gift shop with sandwiches.

What a sweet, hospitable spot! We stopped in for lunch and were welcomed with a treat for our pup and a lovely table on the patio. We had gazpacho, ham & cheddar and veggie sandwiches, all were delicious. They have a grab & go case as well, a good option if you are planning a nearby excursion. Prices are very reasonable and they clearly value quality, in-season ingredients. We look forward to returning!

What a wonderful lunch we had at the Garden Room and Cafe! The food was delicious, and the corn salad is a must. Gluten free and vegetarian selections are offered so that all will be happy. And the birthday serenade for my sister accompanied by a scrumptious chocolate torte were such gracious gestures.

Hearty food and pleasant service. Very limited indoor space.

Delicious sandwiches and baked goods (the salmon and veggie sandwiches are favorites) plus lovely art and gifts highlighting the beauty of the area!

Always look forward to trying the weekly special when I’m in town and taking home some of the grab and go items for later.

The garden cafe has a lot of character and charm and everyone there was the friendliest! And, our egg salad and tuna salad sandwiches were amazing! The gallery had a nice display of talented artists. I would definitely go here again!

we are staying at Fort Lewis Lodge and decided to get our lunch in warm springs. we read the reviews were high here so we stopped. we are from reston va. we were so disappointed. first we had no idea where to go to order. no signage whatsoever. so my husband we up the stairs inside even though we weren’t sure if that was right or not. we ordered a egg salad and BLT. the worst sandwiches we have had. the bread was tasteless and stale. the egg salad was not tasty at all. my husband said his sandwich was also stale and the BLT was not fresh. we would NEVER eat there again and are telling friends at lodge not to either.

I absolutely adore this place and dream of the salmon sandwich! I live two hours away and make every excuse to get there. The food is amazing, the art is interesting and well curated and the gift shop area is fantastic!

Beautifully curated space! The artists represented in this gallery are skilled across the board. Even galleries in larger cities do not deliver the quality found here! A gem of the Alleghany Highlands – and the food at the Garden Cafe is delicious!
