The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The musician did a wonderful job on the harp. A thoroughly enjoyable experience !

I dined with a friend last weekend and we had the BEST time! Our hostess, Cora, and server, Stephanie, were both wonderful! Me and my friend were dressed as George Washington and Ben Franklin and they really helped us to have the best time. The food was delicious, the ambience great, the service fantastic, and the few minutes of live music entertainment were the icing on the cake! Christiana Campbell's is a must on your CW trip.

Had a wonderful experience at Christiana Campbell's Tavern! It was our anniversary and they gave us a very special table by ourselves in a little cove of a room. We ate the best meal by candle lite and they even had a special anniversary card for us. We have always enjoyed the tavern and will not hesitate to return again!

We com often, locals. Sat on porch. Extremely crowded from what I remember. Try not to feed as many people as you can. Can't move in there.

We were seated per our reservation time. Our waiter was funny and explained the menu well. Sadly, our food was not good. Fried chicken was cold and too hard to bite into. The green beans served with it were raw. The seafood pot pie was better, but cold in the center. The room was crowded, decorated in a colonial theme. Service was good until they got busy, then we waited a lengthy time for drink refills and the check. Very disappointed with our meals, especially for the price.

Wonderful staff. We were there with family and 2 young children. The staff was accommodating and attentive our requests.

I had the trout and my husband had the steak. We up-charged the meal by adding soup or salad and a dessert. It did not disappoint! Try the Laird's punch or the cherry bounce, both are excellent. Yes it's a bit pricey but it is worth every penny or nickel since pennie's will be obsolete soon, lol.

Sorry I don't remember her name, but the waitress was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. The food was good, but maybe not worth the price. The vegetables were uncooked for my taste. I had the fried fish which was trout; it was good and not greasy. My husband had the fish pie and seemed to enjoy it. I loved the house and the atmosphere.

It is definitely a step back in time when you step in the tavern. Our server was terrific and showed us the real use for the oversized napkins. Comical by today's standards but very practical back in the day. The menu was made up of items from Colonial times. A young man played tunes for us that might have been enjoyed in the 17th and 18th centuries. We really enjoyed our meal and the whole experience there.

Our first time at Colonial Williamsburg and this tavern is special because of its GW history and delicious food! We had trout and steak in family style setting. Love that it is generous portion and their bread (17th century bread and those little muffins are delicious!) 4.5 stars as they did not have green tea and we didn't have wine which we will try when we return. Our person was Heather who's dressed in the colonial style and was super sweet and attentive. We arrived late as we are coming from Jamestown but they gladly took us in center table. It worked in our favor as we wind up having the place to ourselves at dessert time. It was perfect! Thank you CCT!

Vegetables on the main courses could've been cooked more completely and they were lukewarm. Chicken was not impressive. Crabcakes and sauce were excellent, as were the salads and desserts. We both ordered salad and dessert along with a main course and that should have resulted in savings of approximately six dollars. When the check came, everything was itemized, and we had to call the menu option to the attention of the waitress.

The meals served to our party of four adults were delicious. And our server Tetyana was outstanding.

Delicious meal in Colonial Williamsburg at Campbell's Tavern. Fun learning about some of the dinner habits in the 1700s and enjoying some of the Colonial meals. Highly recommend going there for an evening meal.

The menu was small and the food was not only exceedingly over-priced but also very poorly done. Connected to Colonial Williamsburg but no ambiance at all - just quickly escorted to a small bare table in a very noisy room. The service was not very attentive. We couldn't wait to get away. We have noticed the restaurant going down over the years; sadly, it seems to still be doing so. MOST disappointed.
