The views are great if you can obtain the right outside table. We dined there for dinner on Sunday and they played LOUD! rap music for the hour and a half we were there. Our waitress was terrific, but the service was slow and the food was way over-priced. The soups are excellent however the fish was "fishy" and low quality ($30 for a piece of battered "cod") -- better quality for $5 at Long John Silvers. They advertise as if a quality, "nice" restaurant but it is really just a tavern. We will find a real restaurant next time and not return.

Terrible place. food is below average. You can get the same stuff cheaper at Taco Bells. Terrible seating.

I just spent $100 on what probably should have been a $40 meal. $19 for a tiny chicken Cobb salad and $17 for a smallish cheeseburger. Waitress was delightful. Forgot the appetizer …so oh well.

The setting is great, right on the waterfront. Wait staff is attentive and helpful. After that it went downhill; the food was average but expensive. I had fish tacos. The fish was dry and the sauce, cabbage and pico was sparse. My husband had the pesto lemon chicken he said the chicken cubes may have been over cooked and frozen. The sauce was tasty but most of the broccoli was over cooked. Our friend had fish and chips, fish and chips were fine, but we informed the waitress that we did not want the spic cole slaw. She said it came like that and they could do nothing about it. So when the manager was making his rounds, we told him, too. There was nothing to substitute as he too informed us that it came that way!! The dessert was berry cobbler it was ok, but nothing special. The bill with tip was over 140 for three of us. We will be trying another restaurant next visit to Yorktown.

Beer was warm. Cobb Salad described as “pulled chicken”. Pretty sure it was pulled from a can. My son’s Mac and cheese was cold. The waitress specified drinks came with kids meal. We we’re charged. When we asked about it, she said “yes, I said that and was wrong” but did not take it off our bill. The best part of this restaurant, is by far, the view.

Excellent service ! Brunch is amazing ! The crab cake Benedict is superb! The red wine sangria is more than 2 glasses between two people ! And so worth it for $24 price tag ! The seasonal cobbler taste home made ! And did I mention dogs are allowed outside seating are ! Salmon breakfast bowel was A-1 ! The ambiance is very nice being so close to the York river ! Only down side : one toilet for male and females !

We stopped here after visiting the museum. You can ride the trolley from the visitors center, doesn't take long at all and is the first stop. Has a couple of statues, a LOVE sign for photos and the beach with a view of a bridge behind it. There's a few shops as well. Our wait was about 30 minutes. We sat outside and it wasn't too bad. View was awesome. Our waitress was awesome as well. We both ordered a meatball sandwich which came with fries or a salad. The sandwich was way more than enough for one person. My SIL got a pizza and it could've been shared by 2. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Every time we dine here is always first rate in service and food. This is our "go to" for out of town guest and business associates.

We were warned that this place was hit or miss but I wanted to give it a chance. We love seafood and we’re excited about the menu. The place is not busy, and the service was adequate. We ordered the She Crab soup, crab cake appetizer, crab cake sandwich & steak frites. The soup was tasty but lukewarm at best. The $22 crab cake appetizer came with four slices of an under-ripe avocado and a little sauce. The crab cake was not the worst, but tiny and definitely did not justify the cost. I took a picture to show you what you would get for $22. The sandwich with fries was $24. Again, the crab cake was not worth the price and also only lukewarm. The steak frites had four pieces of steak on top of fries. Definitely not worth the $25 price tag. Do not go for food, instead go for drinks and enjoy the waterfront location. Then go to Yorktown pub for a good meal.

We ate dinner here and had an excellent experience. Our waitress was very attentive to us. Food was delicious and the place is nice inside. If you eat outside the views of the Yorktown River are beautiful!

We stopped for lunch while touring the Historical sights of Yorktown. What a pleasant surprise! We enjoyed the outdoor seating with a nice view of the river and raw oysters for starters. I had the Mediterranean Salad with Salmon and my husband had the daily special of a BLT made with soft shell crab. My salad was fresh, plated well, and the dressing was perfect! My husband said he would order the sandwich again as well! Quick friendly service made it a great place to stop for lunch. We would go again!

We enjoyed the Water Street Grille and would eat here again if we are ever in Yorktown. The view of the water was great, but the food was amazing! We had she crab soup, something we had been wanting to try since we are new here. We also had the crab dip, ahi tuna sandwich, mediterranean salad, and cobble. Everything is recommended. The waitress was from the area and very attentive. Would recommend eating here.

We were two couples and gladly waited the forty minutes for a table. We enjoyed a round of cocktails at the bar while waiting. Great bartender with some personality. We were seated outside with a great view of the water. Waitress was friendly, informative and interactive. We ordered a bizarre combination of appetizers and entrees. We told the waitress how we wanted to come out and they did as requested. Cocktails continued throughout lunch. A great time was had by all. I really enjoyed the Ahi Tuna Nachos and She Crab Soup. Amidst the busy River Walk so parking can be a challenge at times.
