Wonderful Japanese style eatery (not because it’s sushi but how you sit at the bar, order, get your food). Not big so best for a date night or take out for larger orders. But soooooo fresh. Rice, fish, everything was the best we’ve had in a long time. Pay attention to the hours! Early March was closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, open Wednesday on. The Chef is a great guy too. Highly recommend going at least once during your stay. Try the Japanese sodas too. You won’t get a cavity like our homegrown drinks.

We accidentally wandered into Umi Sushi past closing time without realizing it. The owner and chef welcomed us in and treated us to a phenomenal dining experience. The sushi and sashimi was fresh, miso soup was flavorful, and green tea mochi ice cream was the perfect way to round out our meal. Quality of food and service definitely exceeded our expectations and are unbeatable for the price. We were so blessed by the food, but even more so by the kindness and friendliness of the owner.
The owner was very nice and gave us a few samples to try. The Miso soup was wonderful. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! This is our new favorite sushi spot.

Umi Sushi is a small establishment with I assume the owner making your dishes. He is very nice and accommodating to your curiosity. He let us try our first lychee and melon soda…and they were delicious that we grabbed some to take home. Our order was kept simple: spicy tuna, salmon, California rolls and shrimp tempura. Everything tasted fresh, even down to the veggies! His eel sauce had a kick to it, which I appreciated because I do not like the overpowering sweetness of other versions of eel sauce. Bringing our leftovers/to go order home, our very picky daughter ate all the California rolls stating they were the best she has had! Will definitely be making this restaurant a staple in our rotation

me and my daughter came in to try Uni and some dumplings. there was some issues with his machine and he did not want to send us away without any food so he still made us food without charging us. The owner is very humble and kind. The Uni is very good and will definitely come back again and pay it forward. Everyone please come by and show him some love.

Awng took over last May from Mr Kim. He’s doing a great job. The sushi was very tasty and prepared quite quickly, he gave me some complimentary hot tea. Very polite cozy atmosphere. I will return.

Delicious sushi and the chef was so nice to talk to us while he was making the sushi. He stayed busy with orders the whole time but was still so friendly. I loved how finely cut the carrots were in the veggie roll. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting!
