Decor, service, cocktails, food- all outstanding! I was dining alone and sat at the bar- bartender was that magical combo of friendly and helpful but not hovering. The ricotta gnocchi was the best meal I’ve had in quite some time. And the vibe was so cool - antique/Scandi/bohemian? I’m going tomorrow night and making sure I save room for dessert.
This place is top notch from start to finish. Food, service, and atmosphere. Pizza surpassed expectations. Can’t say enough good things about this place and a shout out to Will who went above and beyond to accommodate our special requests. Will make this a stop every time I pass through the area
Great pizza. Great grilled vegetables (Brassica). Great salad. Great atmosphere.
My family spent 4 days at the Tillerman. It is a lovely place to stay- warm and inviting. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are fully stocked with amenities. Everything is very clean and well kept. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Elizabeth was the woman who took care of our breakfast each morning. She was a delight, always smiling and giving us great information about the area. The food is excellent and the restaurant is charming. The Tillerman has beautiful gardens and there are vases of flowers throughout. This is a magical place- one of a kind!
The food is beyond first class, from the bread to dessert, everything was fantastic. Great service staff. Cannot say enough good things about the place.
Great music
Good is outstanding! The wood-fired pizza lives up to its NY Times accolades. The country setting is so beautiful. We went on a Wednesday when there was live music outside. It couldn't have been any more perfect!
Quintessential Vermont Inn and restaurant
The food is excellent, everything is fresh and perfectly cooked.
Had a wonderful experience at the Tillerman in late October. Stayed for 5 days at the Inn and dined at the restaurant twice. All staff were lovely and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful, particularly the pastries. The lounge with the fireplace was very warm and cozy, even with diners adjacent to the seating it felt very homely. The room had no TV which was ideal for us. Definitely considering the location for our future wedding!
Parking: Approximately 25 spaces
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp leading to the side door into the restaurant. One room is located on the main floor for accessibility.

We visited this location as it was written up in The NY Times. My family thought it was awesome. I thought it was on par with other wood fired pizza places. The place was nice and service was excellent. I thought the food was ok but very pricey.

My husband and I got married at the Tillerman in June and the whole experience was exceptional. The venue itself is lovely, the perfect mix of historical charm and modern updates. What really made the difference though was the amazing staff. Kenzie coordinated with us as we were planning the wedding and was so friendly and helpful, and responded to a million emails that I sent her with different questions. The day of, the staff was on top of every detail and served an incredible meal that many guests said was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding, if not the best food they'd had ever! We feel so lucky to have found the Tillerman and would recommend it to anyone looking to have a quintessential Vermont wedding.

Appetizers were good, but both pizzas we got came out very burnt. We also went in the summer and the restaurant was very hot.
We came for the pizza - got the whole wheat crust that had a good texture, and locally made spicy pepperoni. Was great with the nice bottle of red wine we had, and enough for two. The plum tart and rich chocolate gelato were divine, and I thought the creative and extensive list of crafted after-dinner drinks was fun. We chose a bitter orange one for the gelato, but you can do a flight.
The Wednesday night live-music staged outside on this beautiful property, where locals gathered to enjoy, made it an evening worth remembering. Run by very caring business owners that reflect that vibe throughout their staff. HIghly recommend.
