I frequently experience such frustration in Vermont as a black person because the lack of food that is culturally appropriate. I’m from Kentucky, and admittedly skeptical of any*southern* style food in New England. This skepticism was quickly resolved after the first bite! We had the fried green tomatoes, yams, mac and cheese, and fried chicken. Everything was amazing! Chef Marc Antony was incredibly kind and welcoming, as was the person waiting on us. I can’t say enough about this place! One of my favorite dining experiences in all of Burlington.
Food was fantastic! Just back from 4 weeks in the south, and the fried green tomatoes and collared greens were better here than any other I had. Fried chicken and Mac and cheese were also fantastic. Staff was also very attentive. I was very impressed.
