The gumbo was the best we’ve ever tasted! Perfect seasoning with delectable chicken and crawfish. Also loved the duck ragout, blackened catfish, and jambalaya. Service was impeccable - we felt like guests in the chef’s home, rather than restaurant patrons. Don’t forget to try the sweet potato pie!
One of the most amazing culinary and atmospheric experiences we've ever had. My wife and I reserved a table on a Sunday evening and were transported to the heart and soul of Louisana. The food was amazing, we tried a variety of entrées (gator gumbo, flank steak, mussels, crab cakes, jambalaya) before diving into the duck ragout. We're sitting in our hotel room still reeling from the tastes, sights and sounds. Do yourselves a great service and book yourselves a table and enjoy. Thank you kindly Richard for everything, you're amazing!
The one and only chef who cooks with heart and soul… you can taste immediately from his food. The atmosphere goes very well with the comfort food. My wife still can’t stop talking about it and looking forward to the next visit. Highly recommended and will definitely come back when we visit Burlington. Bravo!

I’m not normally a fan to write reviews. In fact. This is my first one ever. This restaurant blows my mind! You have one host/server/cook/owner. He does it all! The food is incredibly delicious, the place is clean and cozy. Highly recommend it! Will definitely visit again!

My husband and I wandered in just now and had brain fog from a long drive, so we didn’t get to express how amazed and grateful we were for Richard’s food / how lucky we were that he could accommodate us. (We didn’t realize that he was a one-man show; our apologies). We were lucky enough to come across Richard’s shop randomly browsing on Google Maps. The blackened catfish was amazing, and the atmosphere is cozy. Will definitely have to stop back in if we get the chance.

Very tasty food and great service I would highly recommend!
I think this is my favorite restaurant in Burlington, the food was perfect and soo flavorful! We got the pork cracklins, crawfish hand pies, blackened cod po boy and the key lime pie. We just left and we’re already making plans to come back, I highly recommend coming here! Making a reservation is definitely the way to go since it is a one man show.

We got takeout from Bourbon Street and it was phenomenal. The Muffuletta was so good and worth every penny. The restaurant itself also has a great atmosphere. I highly recommend if you’re looking for dinner in Burlington. The owner is also so nice and you can tell he loves what he does. I never leave reviews but I can’t say enough nice things about this restaurant!

Great locally owned restaurant. A one-man show who cooks, cleans, waits table, etc.Ordered the gumbo, crab cakes, etouffee, jambalaya, and duck ragout.Everything was amazing, with my favorite being the etouffee. The duck ragout was also very good with a very intense and concentrated duck flavor. Absolute must visit when in Burlington. Would definitely recommend and would come back next time.Atmosphere itself was nice and cozy, we had the place to ourselves. Reservations highly recommended.
