Great food and service!Whoever decided to put pineapple in the coleslaw you changed my world. I loved it!

I only got a Root Beer. It's not cold. Not in aug but paper cup. They pour the root beer into a picture and then pour it into the cups as needed. So not cold. Understand that they are not using mugs but I want COLD ROOT BEER. Definitely not going to stop as much as I used to. Wait staff is hot or miss as to friendliness and good service.

Can't review when I called, and it said open until 8pm, and it's 739 and no signs it has even been open. 1 hour each way. I'll drive to Sonic in Albany next time.

Still going strong! Enjoy the great, friendly service and fast (but better than "fast food") food. The onion rings are amazing and of course, you must have a float! This place is worth the drive at least once a season, even from over an hour away for me!

The fried clams & the Cole slaw were ok, but the root beer float was delicious! Our food came in a paper bag, not on a window tray like I remember from when I was a kid.

SLOW Service. If you hate waiting for 45-90 Minutes to get food. Then don’t go here. They’re slow getting your order. Slow getting your food to you. The food isn’t that great for the time you have to wait. Terrible place

Been coming here every summer, all my life. Love it! Classic Drive-in Curb Service where you order from, and food is brought to, your car window. Picnic tables too, or order-to-go.*NO Credit Cards* only Cash (ATM on site) or Check-with-phone number. Enjoy!

Its the last of its kind. Need a quick bite to eat? Or need a place to show off that car, truck or bike. This is the place. Always friendly staff, fair priced and decent foodParking: Big open lotWheelchair accessibility: Their are picknick tables

550 #20/2022 CASH ONLY This Middlebury location is the last A&W in VT and one of three left in the NE. +. Ambiance is throw back roadside drive-in. The carhops used to wear roller skates but they no longer do...not sure if it's a Covid casualty. Customers are to stay in the car and wait for service. +. Food-wise, we occasionally come here for their root beer and RB float, onion rings and sundaes. Their RB no longer has HFCS :-). But they didn't offer creamies on this visit. Their onion rings and RB and floats were delicious! But their sundae was too hard and was just okay. They so offer burgers and fries. =. Price is more than what you expect at a fast food resto. We tipped $5 to our carhop which typically one doesn't at a fast food stops. CASH ONLY! + Service is prompt but not consistent. They are pretty quick to come by to to greet you but our carhop didn't check back on us after delivering the food until one of us got out of the car. This is a nostalgic stop and a disappearing Americana.

Always Good Food! I used to eat the cheese burgers and onion rings but now it seems beef bugs me. The deep fried cheese bites are always so good that we order two sets so we can have leftovers at home, th hey reheat well in the oven. The onion rings never let me down, they are so good! The chicken strips are better than those from 'B king'.

A throwback to the past, carhops serving you in your car. The hamburger is adequate, the fries are good, but the root beer floats are worth the stop.

Bring cash! There is an off brand atm available too. Fried chicken meal was good but not great. No more hang on window trays, just bags of food complete with catsup & silverware. Picnic tables are available. Ask for receipt.

I am afraid that this restaurant does not respect its customers. I called in an order, drove up, and checked in. Half an hour later, I hunted down wait staff and asked for a status - basically, they were speechless, as my food had been waiting half an hour.

If you remember the drive in restaurant with carhops, you will feel right at home. Food is always top notch. The only downside is, due to popularity, you have to wait upwards of an hour for your order. The waitstaff is working their proverbial butts off but the volume of customers was observed to be massive. They deserved every penny of any tips.

They don't take credit/debit. They don't tell you that until they bring your food and want you to pay. There's an ATM so you have to pay extra charges if you don't come prepared with cash. Everything is frozen and just heated up. Served moderately warm or cold. Not classic A&W like it used to be. Very disappointing.
