The generosity is lost. Effete and posturing. Disappointing after being a customer for 30 years. Each successive owner has made it more and more expensive. Lost the original sense of abundance from Steve, the original owner, who delighted in providing a variety, quantity and quality at surprisingly low prices.

Nice place, very good choice of all kinds of foods, not just cheese and wine. Only one drawback, there is no public restroom, which limits the browsing time for us old folks.

We have shopped for years here. There were always good deals on all kinds of snack foods,and great bulk items from United like flour , oatmeal, rice, etc. Today we stopped in( purposely passed up Trader Joes- that will not happen again) and found the place decimated. Half the store was empty of product and the woman behind the cheese counter reluctantly explained they were switching to all local products, which are all priced higher than other sources. Too bad. We used to spend quite a bit there stocking up on all kinds of great items but today bought only six. No bulk items( What was there was all sugar- gummies and chocolate covered.) So disappointed but that is change for you. It cannot possibly be owned by the same family as they knew what they were doing.
