Now I know why this place only have 3 stars review (even though I think it's too generous!). Decided to try this place for our no-cook-Friday-dinner. I was so excited and full with hope with this place. Between the mister and I, we ordered wonton soup, Thai dim sum, crispy pork with grand marnier sauce, chicken lomein, and sesame beef. Wonton soup - frozen dumplings (yes, dumplings not wonton!!) with over-salted liquid (yes liquid, not broth) shredded carrots fresh out of bags, and bell peppers. Thai dim sum - A BIG JOKE! The same frozen dumplings like ones in over-salted wonton soup. Swimming in basically Thai basil sauce. Ummm what is that?! I envisioned some kind of homemade dumplings with a hint of Thai flavors. Crispy pork in grand marnier sauce - does it sound good or what?! It sounds and actually looks good; However, it is not. Breaded pork in cloyingly-overly sweet sauce that probably contains a cup of sugar, ketchup, food coloring, and a drop of grand marnier. We ate probably 25% of it and didn't bother to take it home the rest. Chicken lomein - the star of the table. Has a good charred flavor. Generous portion. Sesame beef - decent. Crispy thinly sliced beef smothered with less sugary sauce than so-called grand marnier sauce. . This place is far far faaaar away from authentic and absolutely overpriced.

One of my all time favorite restaurants. TONS of gluten free options and the kitchen is always so careful and considerate of dietary restrictions. Cannot recommend highly enough. This is the type of place you order extra just to have leftovers. Special shout out to the Singapore street noodles.

My son orders a sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and teriyaki sticks. Silver Palace is ordinarily a sit down restaurant that is presently offering take-out only due to Covid restrictions. Price: Absorbently high at $88.24 or $.59/oz. Portion: 9.4 lbs between the two meals is 2x+ the average price of a Chinese restaurant in Chittenden County. Pros: - Convenient South Burlington location off Williston Rd. - Provided soy sauce packets, duck sauce, spicy mustard and several fortune cookies - The beef teriyaki quite delicious - Chicken & Broccoli meal was quite tasty - Overall food presentation was excellent Cons: - Price, Price, Price - Long wait time (1.5 hours, Friday evening) during peak hours - Don't offer combination meals - Didn't include utensils or napkins - Didn't have egg rolls, but offered spring rolls instead - Although the pork fried rice recipe was cooked with more veggies than we normally see, the rice itself was rather bland and lacked flavor - The sesame chicken recipe wasn't tasty Impression: Generally good tasting food priced 2x the average cost of a typical Chinese takeout in Chittenden County. Convenient location & good curb appeal. Overall positive experience giving Silver Palace a 3.5 star rating.

So i just called the silver palace for some food! When i got it home there was a few hairs in my meal! So when i called them back to complain they hung up on me.. so pleas be careful because this was the second time i had a complaint and they did not want to fix the problem...

I never leave bad reviews. Especially in these times, but this was a big check. Ordered Orange beef. No orange peel or dried chilies. Sauce probably came out of a jar. Beef was tough with no beef flavor and pieces so large it was difficult to eat. Had green pepper and summer squash in it and the green pepper was the strongest flavor and really unpleasant. I've never seen OB prepared with these vegetables. Spring rolls had no shrimp and were oily and overcooked. Wonton soup had pot sticker dumplings not wonton. I won't order again.
Silver Place it has been around for a long as I can remember. They have the Best Chinese food around the Burlington area. If you haven’t tried it you have to before you can say any other place is better. When I hear someone say oh this place is the best I always have to find out for my self and with that being said I still think Silver Palace is most likely the best.

Well I’m not sure yet.. good quality of food.. pad Thai wasn’t spicy enough. The boneless ribs where like I got them from blue bird BBQ. Not saying I don’t like it.. I guess I’m gonna have to try it one more time.

The Eggplant Country Style dish is ridiculously good. This was our first time to this restaurant and they were very friendly, accommodating of vegetarian/vegan dietary restrictions, and the portions were quite generous. I'd definitely recommend this place, but I'd specifically recommend that eggplant dish because it's different from other restaurants' eggplant dishes because they bread the eggplant before frying it. So good.
