I was a repeat guest at the Inn but won't be returning. Treatment by the owners was unacceptable. Briefly, I thought I had left an item in the room and requested the owners personally check and let me know if it was still there. Over the course is 4 days I sent 3 emails asking the owners to look and get back to me. None were acknowledged or replied to. After I made two phone calls that were not retuned I was becoming reasonably impatient. My third call resulted in Rick becoming belligerent. He cut me off mid sentence then hung up me. I made a reasonable request that could easily have been taken care of in 10 minutes. It didn't happen. I won't be back and can't recommend the Hob Knob to anyone . BH.

Unfortunately, this place is not good choice in Stowe. The town and resort are cute and I will return but not here.I bought my first epic pass and was excited to use it. I decided NYE in Vermont sounded cool. I went to the Epic website and selected Stowe. Clicking and turning, it led me to Hob Knob. I get a discount with my new Epic Pass, otherwise I would have gone with my usual hotel app.I call epic when my discount doesn’t appear. They tell me to show my pass at check in. I do. The owner says he doesn’t honor any epic discount and he is not affiliated as he is sitting under a large epic sign. He says he has never heard of such a thing. I don’t believe him. I think epic allows him to advertise while remaining off network. Collectively, they fool people like me.Maybe I am wrong. Maybe he will go to Stowe.com (also owned by vail co) and demand they remove his listing as it’s hurting his reputation. I suspect he won’t. This is a scam.For good measure, after discussing my disappointment with the owner, I told him my remote wasn’t working. He promised to check on it and get it fixed. I took a picture of its placement before I left for skiing on a hunch. It’s exactly where I left it and still doesn’t work. Avoid this place - the restaurant and bar is closed and the owner’s scruples leave much to be desired.

Stayed at the Hob Knob this weekend and I've got no complaints. In the interest of transparency I stayed in the 2 room suite so I can't speak to any of the other rooms. The suite was exactly what is pictured on the web site and extremely clean, (not something I say easily, I can be a diva when it comes to cleanliness). The living/sleeping areas were bright and looked newly painted. Kitchenette was pretty standard, (mini fridge, microwave, 2 cup coffee maker, and small stove and all the accompaniments) all clean and in good condition. The vanity area, (sink is outside of bathroom) was pretty standard issue but clean, no staining or discoloration in the sink. Bathroom and shower surround looked recently tiled, nice accent strip in the shower, and again very clean. The bed was nice, no issues. The sleep sofa was a sleep sofa, (they are what they are right?). They provide a continental breakfast basket, (individual cans of OJ and packaged muffins, granola bars, and fresh oranges) I thought this was great, especially during covid when buffets are nonexistent. Check-in was easy, guy I spoke to was very nice. Only comment I have to the management is maybe put a blurb about the heating in the binder provided in the room. There's three different heating systems available in the room, a beautiful gas fireplace, a wall mounted mini-split in the bedroom, and a small recessed heater in the bathroom. Bathroom heater is a simple dial, but the other remotes, (especially the mini split) took some figuring out. The Hob Knob was all I needed it for, at a reasonable price. I'll definitely stay again.

The place is clean. Breakfast is just Muffin and very small oj can. There is no housekeeping, no service, self pick up keys. The keeper is always out, not in the premises, makes it inconvenient to get what you need.A guy who works here was very rude to tell us where to park our car. First, that was the direction everyone else was parking. Second, if he doesn't like to talk to people or doesn't know how to, draw the line on the ground.

Senic hotel, with spacious rooms, and outstanding staff. The rooms are a bit dated, but that did not affect their quality or the overall fantastic experience we had. Breakfast baskets are a very thoughtful touch as well

A perfect stay; nice and spacious room with a fireplace that got quite toasty! Everything was clean and comfortable; the breakfast baskets were a nice touch. Everyone was friendly. Great location for the town. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights. The place was very clean. Kitchenette and bathroom looked brand new. Beds were on the soft side and very comfortable. Water pressure was great.

I had the best stay here. Our room was spotless and we were given plenty of towels and amenities to start our day. Breakfast baskets were nutritious and tasty. The staff was very friendly and available for guests needs.I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Very convenient to town and all other sites. Thank you Rick and Katie.

The three stars are because the location was great. It's right in Stowe and you are short drive to all of the restaurants, bars, town, etc. It's described as an inn, but felt much more like a motel to us. The biggest bummer for us was that the room was not clean when we arrived. There was hair in the bathroom sink, crumbs on the counter, dust on the carpet. This really degraded the overall experience.
