We love Plate! Very cool vibe, very warm . Food is wonderful. Chef knows to have a few fabulous choices, not a million less than optimal choices and they are done to perfection with some additions to the regular menu every night as well. Cheese soufflé appetizer is heaven. Service is super gracious and we would go every Saturday if we could! Thank you Jennifer!

Every bite was truly incredible. By far the best food we ate in Stowe but beyond that it was excellent by NYC standards as well. The service was professional. One down side is the restaurant is quite loud. Also note that reservations are a must.

A quaint restaurant on the main street in Stowe with a kick. A smart menu and a brilliant execution. We started with some local beers and a cheddar souffle. Cheddar souffle sounds daunting but an absolute must try! Then we both had burgers with opposing sides. My girlfriend chose the fingerling potatoes which were perfectly cooked, and I chose the fiddleheads which I've never heard of before but found them to be delightful! Along the lines of brussel sprouts and Chinese broccoli in mouthfeel but a subtler taste. The sauteeing in garlic is perfect. Would love to try em fried. And the mindblow of the night was the fresh doughnuts with chocolate sauce and ice cream. I'm talking involuntary-noise-inducing satisfaction. Highly recommend!

Restaurant: 8/10 super cute spot, very nice decor (kinda funky, gorgeous interior design, lots of color but also modern) would be good for a small group, maybe the AC was broken but it was CRAZY hot in there when we went for dinner! Staff: 11/10 SO SWEET and accommodating and friendly and just really down to earth, helpful and kind people. You're welcomed warmly as soon as you enter, and everyone is very on top of service and just being overall sweet. Food: *vegan crab cakes - 4/10 great texture, so bland. Not even that they didn't taste fishy they just had no flavor really at all. *veggie burger - 10/10 SO WORTH THE HYPE omg it was insanely good. I've eaten a lot A LOT of freakin veggie burgers and this surpassed them all easily. The flavor was out of this world delicious, savory little sweet, perfectly seasoned. I ordered with the roasted potatoes and they were 10/10 as well. *flank steak - 2/10 awful. Ordered rare, it was cooked to death. There was zero seasoning on it. The sides were just as bad unfortunately, roasted cauliflower and asparagus had no seasoning, and the sauce was watery. Really a bummer for such an expensive dish. Overall, I would totally go back for the burger and sweet staff!

Nice atmosphere. Would be great to turn down the heat a bit on warm days. The food is not worth the price. We ordered Suft and turf which was very expensive 40$ but its only worth it 23$. Beer was almost room temperature but the waitress promptly got me a colder beer when I mentioned that was impossible to drink a beer so warm. Next beer was colder...way better than before but still not the right temperature. Good restaurant overall but over priced for what is offered.

Amazing dinner and make sure you try the Banana pudding!

Had dinner there last night. Loved loved loved the hearts of palm app and the hangar steak! Margaritas were pretty good. The banana pudding was not great, seemed like whipped cream with a few banana slices and vanilla wafers pushed into it, the actual pudding seemed to be missing.

I made a reservation here for the group of people that came with me to ski and celebrate my birthday, and they were closed when we went for dinner. Booked a reservation- wasn't open. Lights were off doors were locked. It would be VERY nice to tell someone if youre closed when they already are planning on eating your food and celebrating at your restaurant.

For the quality of the food, and the level of service (had to repeat orders and ask for corrections to orders we had placed, plus it took at least ten minutes for the waiter to come to our table and offer water or to take our order), this place was overpriced and overrated. Would not return. I had wanted to take my friend out for a nice meal to treat her to a thank you... it was honestly so disappointing, and I felt that my money was wasted.

Horrible salty food. My shrimp Was uncooked. The chicken was rubbery and it was supposed to be breast and they served chicken leg. Absolutely the worst meal.


Wonderful!!! Jen, the owner, greeted us and upgraded us to a great view of passers by; the cocktails were inventive, fun and yummy; the plating of the dishes was amazing; the roasted squash was my spouse’s fave; I loved Chinese spiced wings and a fresh Caesar salad; service was great, loved the ambiance.


I got really sick after eating at this restaurant a while ago. The service was just ok as well. Just be aware.


We went for dinner one night after a day of skiing and the food was absolute perfection. I think the veggie burger was close to $20 and I thought, "that better be a good veggie burger!" And IT WAS! Soooo good. My husband loved his schnitzel too
